The North Pole is shifting causing GPS problem and Costco is out of stock on 23 pound buckets of Mac and Cheese!?


Yes folks, the river or liquid magma that flows under the earth is shifting track and it is casing a shift in the poles! This in turn has been causing serious GPS problems, severe enough to where even I have noticed them the past two days when using GPS driving maps!

It has been brought to my attention by my youngest son that magma is actually molten rock... The proper phrase would have been molten iron that flows under the earth... 

Dare I say a conglomeration of magma and molten iron?

I guess magnetically speaking magma is irrelevant to the poles since rock has no magnetic properties... Glad I caught myself on that one! LOL

The earth was vibrating at a steady 7-hz up until 2012...

I think I remember him saying that within the next century, the oceans waters will rise at a steady 2-feet above what they are now...

 

What he forgot to mention, was that ice-samples taken from Greenland indicate that the worlds average temperature was over 2.5-degrees-C warmer than it is now, around 4(?)-thousand years ago.

We're still under that figure. The sun can still grow more spots, & send out more flares...

What is not told however, is that these solar flares are unpredictable, & have an EMP effect. ( Electro Magnetic Pulse ). This EMP effect comes naturally on average every 150-years, the last time being in the 1850's, when all the power-lines & telegraph stations failed / fried...

Fast forward to today, where you have around 450-Nuke-Plants in operation, & this EMP-effect from a solar-flare over-due, we should be concerned about the next 450-Fukushima's...The EMP fries everything electric, meaning NO cooling for our Nuclear reactors...Unless we develop solar &/or mechanical cooling solutions...And they haven't done so as yet.

Yes, we have preventable problems & simple solutions that our governments are ignoring...But it's not their fault, it's ours for staying silent, & not waking the silly ****ers -up...

Rastus, that nuke shite is so scary. I have never liked it. Even passing thru the tunnels on nuke subs the hair would stand up on the back of my neck. Felt extremely uncomfortable any time I was in one. Yup, 6 years on civil service subs and ships too. That was actually cool. Ever look thru a nuke subs periscope? (yeah I did WW2 era scopes too) Just awesome optics on those nuke subs. I mean awesome!

No, I've never boarded a Nuke submarine, though I did board a regular submarine once, & couldn't believe how cramped everything was...I'm not sure I could work on one either, being 6'1, & around 200+lbs lol ! Too big & fat ! But when your assigned to one, I guess the folks that know-best, decide that you'll do, & put you there...

Most of the AHTS vessels that I've worked on are pretty tight for space though too, & as you you know, the engine rooms on all sea-going vessels lies well below the water-line, so they're submarine-rooms by default lol ! You wouldn't want to be in one if the ship hit a mine, or you got rammed !

I haven't seen through a periscope I'm afraid. I'll take your word that they have awesome magnification & vision too.

5 10, 200# here, well 180 now. It's was tight at times. Especially the places they had me work. Like between the outer and the pressure hull when in the water, get in thru a little hole in the sail, or in the sphere in the nose with all the transducers. Yup tight! Dad was smaller and the WW2 ships are kinda cramped. Nukes are in some spots too. Old ones were all business, you could see everything. Nukes have cabinets, formica, stainless.

So what if some of that molten "magma" was actually 1/1024th's iron or nickel? Would it cease to be liquified rock?

How does that work anyway? When a rock wants to be a ferrous metal but it's just a liquified rock and has no magnetic proprieties?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Lots of ferrous alloys lack magnetic properties ie: most stainless steels. Ferrous only means containing Iron.

No it's mostly regular steel with chromium added to it. Some stainless has magnetism, but I use a lot of type 304, and even though it's major ingredient is iron, it's not magnetic. I was just clarifying a common misconception that ferrous means magnetic, which is not always true. Ferrous only means containing iron.

I found this link to be of some interesting reading as it pertains to stainless steel and its magnetic properties.

Apparently, 304SS can be picked up by very powerful magnets and temperature changes can also affect its magnetic properties.

Seems to me the strongest of alloys have Iron and Nickel in them, for example titanium, while ultra light - is very strong. Titanium is magnetic.

It only takes 1/10 of 1% to dramatically change the properties of alloys.

There are lots of varied formulas used for specific design purposes.

Cost is always a big compromise that's made !
