Elizaberh Warren Student Loan program...

Here is a great example of a solid idea...

And yet there is a problem with her solution in two ways...

She wants to forgive up to $50K in student loan debt per individual...

She also wants to tier it based on income...it calls for a $1 phase out for every $3 above $100K.

So a person making $130K would get $40K forgiven...someone who makes $160K would only get $30K forgiven...

To me we should simply forgive $50K in student loan debt for all who had to borrow...

Why are we penalizing young people who make good solid educational decisions and become productive and aiding those who waste 4 years on a dance theory major and no one wants to hire them?

And we should not even do that until the reform the higher education system...which has soaked these young students with enormous debt...because the government made the money easy to get...

I am not against the tax payers helping students, but it is the perfect example of how government fucks things up...

Government makes it easy for young adults to finance their cost of higher education...half the students go for a decade and they are not becoming doctors they are simply avoiding becoming a full adults with responsibilities...

Colleges simply increased the cost to a breaking point...since the students could just borrow the money...and we the tax payers are essentially on the hook for the debt...

again I do not mind the concept of picking up some of these cost to help our youth get higher education...

I just think the way our government went about it is counter productive...

And I worry about any new plans until we can find a way to cap assistance to stop the colleges from just artificially setting a price based on money available to loan....

That is how you regulate...The government will assist these young Americans in getting through college...but there is a cap on that assistance...

I say screw giving people loan forgiveness for school!

Fuck that silly ass shit and I dont care what your formula is!

If youre going to forgive $50k for one person it should be $50k for ALL people regardless if its for school or anything else!

Fuck you people trying to bribe voters with $50k of tax payer money! This kind of shit should be illegal!

And look at the little liar Elizabeth Warren who cheated the system by getting school discounts for falsely claiming she was Native American! WTF? Does she think giving away billions of tax payer dollars will somehow erase that fact!?

What the hell is wrong with you today Nuffan? Got your head up your ass?

How about they just fix the last bribe they made to voters at tax payer expense to get in office?

You know, Obamacare?

And FYI - the government is already helping young people by giving then student loans!

Last thing this country needs is to be covering some unproductive kids $50k dorm parties until they are 25! Just think how many people took out loans for liberal arts and underwater basket weaving! We shouldnt be on the hook for kids who wasted money because they just didnt want to grow up after high school!

And what about future kids who wont be so lucky to get a $50k break! This does nothing for the kids today! It only rewards people old enough to vote who have student debt and want a $50k pay out for voting for her!

See my point was they are not really HELPING young adults, they are tying them down with enormous debt...

Higher Education should not cost what it does...truth is it is only this expensive is because the government made it easy to borrow the money...

They wanted us to simply foot the bill long ago, but instead they have used predatory loans to create another revenue stream with some pretty outrageous interest schemes...particularly to those who are late getting started on repayment...

Bottom line it should not cost as much as it does...

but YES if we are going to offer $50K in forgiveness it should be to all who are burdened with student debt, not just the UNSUCCESSFUL ones who probably pissed away the loan for some degree that is meaningless...

It is not what you know, it's who you know... This is true today as it ever was given the latest college admission scandals..

Even still, collaboration is how people advance... One guy comes up with a good idea and then someone else improves on it.

10 years of school is still equal to about one year of hands on experience. You think about that!

If someone does not know what they want to do in life, and just continues to mask their failure by running up school debt then it is their problem, not the tax payers!
