Trump is NOT a self made man, he was born into money. The real question here is did he clench the Presidency in time to galvanize his image and smooth over any imperfections? I had said in 2015 that if Trump failed to win the 2016 bid for President he would be bankrupt by now, run into the ground by the Democrats. I voted for him because he has an ego but that could also be his downfall too.
Trump's ego, while an attractive quality towards the end of Obama's world-wide apology campaign, was a zephyr to the many years of being made to feel bad by Obama and company. But Trump knows his ego is as much of an asset as a liability. I am almost positive his father, Fred Trump, reminded him of this on a daily basis. Should Trump fail to clench the 2020 election he may lose his galvanized coating and expose the many chinks in his armor. It would be a literal "slap-in-the-face" for his entire family.
Trump doing what he is doing, colluding with the Fed by way of Mnuchin and Pelosi to raise the debt ceiling, then trying to force the Fed to give banks interest free loans, or even worse yet - pay them to borrow (negative interest rates), while consolidating all the money at the top while NORMAL PEOPLE like us go without funding, insurance and necessary government representation IN OUR FAVOR, then he could well very lose 2020 to someone like Biden! If Biden could just speak fluently without constant gaffe, I think he might be one of the only people who could go toe-to-toe with Trump in 2020 and maybe even beat him! I know if Trump keeps it up, hoarding all the money at the top and letting indigent peoples Medicaid expire then he will lose, regardless how sloppy ole' Sleepy Joe speaks.
The very fact that I see him bask in statements that he is the "King of Isreal" and constantly keep bragging, knowing damn well he is batting for the banks to get interest free loans (or even worse yet banks getting PAID to borrow money) while the rest of us are all paying 3.9% to 29.99% respectively is enough for me to pause and think! Here is a man that has admitted that he has never done or donated to a cause that he didn't expect a favor in return for! Here is a guy who is donating his entire paycheck to Government agencies, and I suppose him doing so means he can Govern however he see's fits because we all owe him? That would be a lot like walking into a restaurant and them refusing to take any money because you were going to eat what they wanted to feed you, cooked the way they wanted to cook it! If you go for that kind of thing then I don't see why socialist Democrat breadlines would be any different except to say I had health insurance if I got sick.
This idea that we all work harder because Trump and his 1% banker buddies are just soooo much smarter isn't sitting well with me. I blame President Trump for the current state of the financial market right now, which I find to be more weighted for the bankers and big industry than any time I can ever remember in history! I don't see the debt shrinking, I only see it increasing! Say what you want about Bill Clinton, but the man is the ONLY one who shrank the deficit.
I see a lot of you in here putting blind trust into Trump and it worries me. I wonder at times if some of you are Russian plants because you can't be living in the same America that I am or you too would see! This is a wake up call for all of you AND Trump's big ego... This is America! On top of the world today but you can be on skid row tomorrow! The man has been married, what? Three times now? Doesn't say much for his loyalty to the people close to him. Of all the candidates I think Biden is the only other one I'd vote for outside of Trump and that is only because I think Biden would marshal Obama and the Clintons... but they aren't just going to give it to him on a silver platter - he is being made to work for it.
There is a really good chance that Trump will win, better than average even... He has always talked a good game, but he has never been perfect and he didn't win by much last time!

Never underestimate the tactics of the "elite"...They create problems, so that we look up to them for solutions, & these solutions they already had before they created the problem...
There's still a while to go yet, & just as the markets have turned in a relatively short time, they could recover just as quickly, especially around election time.

I could really give a hoot about the markets myself... Like I said Rastus, I just look at them to gauge how pissed or happy people are going to be from day to day.
A lot of people are wrapped up in the market, I am not.
We might very well see 30K on the DOW, and who knows - banks might start lending again! But I am "Fed" up! (No pun intended).
I am just going to have to suck it up Rastus, I'll be the only one paying everything down while everyone else - the Government included, will keep on borrowing away! And I think that is what has got me so upset.
