BEWARE! myFICO.com looks out for the credit card companies and not the customers!

Recently took my AMEX issues to a forum that specializes in credit issues thinking I could get some help and I come across the web forum https://ficoforums.myfico.com/ and tried to ask my questions there...

It seems this place has a bunch of moderators who work for the credit card companies that go around thumping their chest and finding any excuse to chastise you and lock / delete your post!

I checked them out on the BBB.org and sure enough they only have a 1.5 star rating! Well that is about to go down a little bit more once I finish filing my complaint

This place literally tried to blame everything on me, then locked and deleted my post and banned me! All for just asking some questions!

So it would seem this BBB accredited business is about to get one more complaint to go with their 1.5 star out of 5 rating!

I asked if anyone else noticed political retaliation after making a donation as it was my last charge before my credit line was cut and they claimed they don't allow politics! LOL! Even though that was the question and I had supporting links they claimed the link to this site, which allows freedom of speech was too political and deleted all my links!

So if you are ever considering a credit monitoring service I would steer clear of myFICO.com because I was treated horribly there!

The worse part is they prune their threads to show the credit card companies in the best light possible and they do not allow anything critical of the card companies - even if you have documented proof like I did!

I tried everything to rephrase my post, keeping politics out of it but they would just find another reason to have a problem.

If you are having problems with a credit card company you DO NOT want to use myFICO.com because they will just blame everything on you and give nothing but attitude and waste your time and money.

It didn't take me long to review this website and I think given their speciality this thread belongs in the Money - Business - Technology and Politics section of this forum.

That is the problem with the BBB today...

They buy their A+ rating, meanwhile the customer reviews are barely 1 star! LOL

I just checked the myFICO.com website and it still shows me as being "online"... Even though I am banned!

What a crock of shit!

C'mon PowerStroker, don't you remember back during the Obama Administration when I sued that Credit Union for two years?

I sent numerous complaints to Obama's newly set up CFPB, which then said they didn't have any authority and forwarded my complaint to the NCUA who then did absolutely nothing but side with the credit union!

If it weren't for the two year / 10 lb. worth of civil filings they would have just gotten away with anything because no one would regulate them!

So I agree with you! SOMEONE SHOULD START A REAL CFPB!

Elizabeth tried, and got the best one she could get given the Republicans have done nothing but drill holes in it and constantly challenge its right to exist.

I don't know if you realize this, but many of the problems you are experiencing with predatory financial institutions, you have helped create with your own voting record.

So what exactly are you suggesting PowerStroker!?

That because I vote Republican the Liberal banking companies out of New York are punishing me by lowering my credit lines - thus lowering my credit scores? Because the only ones pulling this nonsense are Liberal NYC headquartered banks!

This kind of pay-to-play extortionist behavior is exactly why I vote Republican! The Liberal slime that runs around in NYC is in need of serious Republican leadership!

I just got done explaining to you how Obama did nothing for consumer protections, heck forget about his toothless CFPB - let's talk about how more people lost their homes under his tenure than ANY TIME IN HISTORY! That is a FACT my Liberal friend! Where were these consumer protections you speak of while people were getting foreclosed on? Oh that is right, people like you told others that they should quit making their house payments to qualify for a program that allowed them to live in pure panic for a year or two before ultimately being kicked out of their homes!

You really aren't that bright PowerStroker, in fact I think you're jaded and angry! You and your kind are like them people who cut themselves for pleasure! I just don't understand it... at least not from you! You were raised better, but that damn Walter Mondale fucked up the heads of a lot of people in Minnesota!

This notion of "Liberal" banking companies by virtue of them being located in New York is inaccurate. While I know you would like to blame everything bad that ever happens to you on Liberals, what is actually happening here is simply business. Business are in business to make money, to that end, they will become as predatory as the law will allow, and they actually lobby aggressively to reduce the regulations that govern them. If you want to add a political aspect to this equation, then I suggest looking really close at which side of the aisle has been on the side of deregulating them, and which side has been on the side of regulating them more.

A small part of me wants to agree with you PowerStroker but every time I have had issues obtaining a refinance every single company has blamed the regulations as a reason I cant get the terms that I want.

The regulation, like Dodd Frank are MASSIVE and discourage lending. Small mortgages are almost impossible to obtain due to the ratios for closing cost not exceeding a certain threshold. Many banks won't even waste the time with a mortgage under $50,000 because it's just not profitable for them to remain in compliance. At least that's the line of shit I was fed back when I was first trying to re-finance my home off a land contract.

Now days, because I am a small business and write off my expenses they use another regulatory excuse that my income is not enough, and they won't take into consideration the money the business is taking in each month that services much of the business debt that I carry. It's completely screwed up right now! It's all set up to ensure that I am forced once again to buy insurance, or PMI as they call it in the industry. I am not paying PMI now, and I don't plan to pay a PMI if I were to restructure because I am still well under the threshold to avoid it - yet they keep wanting to toss it in as a government requirement! Our friends at AMEX and Citi with their predatory credit line cuts ensure my credit score stays below the threshold to qualify for a conventional loan, something else that is regulated under the equal housing laws that say if they do it for one guy, they have to do it for everyone. That being said it makes no difference that I have been with my mortgage company for coming up on four years now... I have to be treated as an ordinary Joe because customer loyalty could be interpreted as bias should a minority without a positive four year relationship were to apply and be denied.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Dodd Frank 23,000 pages long?

The small part of me that wants to agree with you is the fact I haven't been able to refinance since the Obama administration...

Enter AMEX and CITI, companies that are good out the gate but fall off fast... They want to claim they were just adjusting based off usage when they came in with that massive initial credit line but they both knew damn well they were coming in with credit lines 4-8 times that of any other established limits. They do credit pulls so they know exactly what the highest line is on all my cards! In fact, one could argue that their target to reduce the line would be the upper end of your highest card at that time they pulled your credit for the first time. They know this process will have a devastating effect on someones credit score, preventing anyone from restructuring and keeping them collecting higher interest rates for longer periods. It's all very easy to see when you're that guy who has never been late with a steady and documented income.

It's all to push you into a bigger mortgage with PMI, and there is the Government with their programs set up with PMI so when the whole shit-house caves in at least the banks can collect an insurance check as they short sell the collateral.

So tell me again how Democrats are going to save me PowerStroker? I am all ears! LOL

And getting back to the original topic, we have shit-hole forums like myFICO.com that want's to prune threads, remove facts and then lock the thread down so that it sinks into the abyss of the forum never to be resurrected to see the light of day again. The only unlocked threads at the deep end of myFICO.com are ones that have happy endings or project a positive light on the creditor. The whole reason I joined that forum was because the thread that Google drew up with my keywords was a disgusting circle jerk of members talking about how their credit lines were reduced but it was all sunshine and butterflies because everyone called in and got their limits increased, or were more than happy with the new reduced credit line. Seemed kind of fake so I joined the forum and replied to that thread with my experiences.

Immediately my response was moved to its own thread (although they claimed to have left a copy in the old thread but I wouldn't know). Then the censorship began, so bad that at one point more than five pages of conversations were just missing! Deleted, then it reappeared modified, then it was locked to prevent further discussion, then it was unlocked!

The ENTIRE time I was responding in the thread I was threatened with TOS violations left and right for simply laying out my case! They almost lost their breakfast when one of the moderators followed the link to this place and seen all the pencil neck Schiff photos and BAM, that link was censored.. With all the proof now missing from the thread it was an onslaught of new readers claiming I had no proof and it turned into a real fine shit-show pissing match free-for-all! Even the moderators were getting in on the mayhem with their chest thumping as they stumbled about drunken with power much like the Nazi SS.. Some of them come off like that ship hand on the movie Titanic when they were trying to pile into the life boats - "We will have order here" they would say, as even a few of their long time members scratched their heads in amazement. Then we broke the forum as the thread seemed to crash and all of the edits and missing post were called a "System error"! LOL, not even kidding!

So then about 12 pages deep I think they had every moderator in the forum needling me, the regulars having been tapped down, I finally conceded and agreed to break the thread down into many smaller, more specific topics and then they started braging about bringing the thread down for a landing before locking it and sending it to the bottom of that lifeless cesspool of pruned censorship.

I kept good on my promise of posting a singular issue that would be easier for them to get their little minds around, but that one was immediatly moved to the less traffic Business credit section where they censored and locked that thread.. shortly after I was banned but the thread unlocked.

What a waste of time, but it was fun as hell! LOL

I mean look at this sunshine and butterfly circle jerk BS right here,

https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Dealing-With-American-Express/td-p/5810964

I think it might actually be one of the longtime members mocking them as they basically screwed with a lot of their own members trying to tamp me down.

Yeah I am still lurking, but anyone who knows me knows that ain't me!

But that's just the kind of Pleasantville fairytale they are selling over there, for $19.99 - $29.99 and $39.99 per month, respectively. I'd feel had too! LOL

It appears they have un-banned my account!

confuse

Oh dear, I sure hope I don't turn into one of them credit card snobs now - posting little tiny images of my credit cards in my signature... bragging about my credit score and using inside lingo like CLI or CLD....

aww

They banned me again and blocked my IP! LOL, time to re-set the router!

And I didn't even give anyone a hard time there! Must be some hurt feelings about the Mods and how out of control they got! Too bad, I was considering switching from Experian to myFICO just so I could fill out my signature!

There can be no denying these sorts of forums are hazing people because this kind of childish nonsense is how they get people sucked in.

So I guess I wasted even more time, but as always - I made sure that I had a good time! LOL

Lol ! Didn't last long at all.

You've likely even surpassed Stoma for the short-time needed to be banned...

Its a pretty pathetic scene over there in the myFICO.com community forums... bunch of broke asses trying to inflate their paper tiger credit scores. All of them sucking ass because they are fixated on silly metrics.. Most, if not all of them lack the basic understanding of wealth.

Having lurked the place on my cellphone its just the same BS thread after thread with the same idiot Mods trying their best to cover up the truth. Its really no wonder I was banned because they all seem to think the CC companies are watching them, which they are not.

Just a shame I wasnt allowed to express my experiences without such blowback from their staff! Facebook, Twitter and all the other big box social media sites let me express myself without even a peep. No issues! So I find it very telling that a forum that specializes in credit card discussions prunes, locks and bans members who are speaking the truth.

I should also mention that the Credit Card company I had issues with (AMEX) restored my limit... Yet I am still banned at myFICO.com!

Can you imagine that!? Just further proves that open expression is not tolerated on that forum and everything is more or less censored and edited to the MOD's likings. They claimed I violated TOS by talking about Moderators and their actions but I got news for them - I am still talking about their idiot MOD's! They like to think their shit don't stink over there, while they run around and give their opinions of different situations, but it's very clear they are not running a respectable forum and thus you can almost guarantee their myFICO.com credit reporting services, from $19.99 on up, are probably a waste of money as well.

I like and use Experian, they do not charge me anything to monitor my credit report and they offer options to help raise my score if I wanted! They also do not run a web forum, which is a good idea when you are "in the business".

Anyone that wants a good credit monitoring service would do well to check out Experian.com and stay far away from myFICO.com and their heavily censored forums, packed full of chest thumping MOD's who have a serious ego problems! We don't see any of their paper-tiger members here defending myFico.com, so it's obvious that even the members agree!

Sad really... no
