Yes, it is multicultural imo. You have to look at these things over generations. Every city will have pockets of people that are originally from some other country. And then 50-years down-the-road, who knows where you may choose where you want to live & for what reasons ? Generally social-status by financial standing dictates where you can "afford" to live.

Once you migrate somewhere & have your "green card" to permanently stay since you're now a citizen, other folks that come after you need your help, & the next thing you know, as a collective group over time, might have acquired many houses / apartments / suburbs or become a dominant presence in an area.

So the "towns" develop by-chance, with a natural desire to be not-too-far-away from people of your own origins.

Segregation is a Gov't matter where it divides people by force...( Or maybe clever design ).

It used to be a household with a single employed person could not only support the entire family, and put the kids through college, but they probably had a lake cabin up north too and took regular vacations. And then Reagan came in. Now we have a generation of angry white men who don't really know what their anger stems from, but I do.

You know PowerStroker, I was really only nine years old in 1984... what you say above about a single employed person being able to support the entire family is about how I remember it too.... up until the 1990's.

But we also have to realize that back then houses were much less expensive, while interest rates were sky high. I guess you could call it inflation, as a new car back then was around $7,000...

I'd be most interested in hearing your theory about this new generation of angry people, where you think their anger stems from. And since you want to get racist by saying it's only white people, might I remind you it's a Holiday today! It's Robert E. Lee's Birthday (according to Twitter) it's actually on the 19th of January, but it goes to show there is a lot of propaganda out there!

The white people anger stems from the loss of the economic reality we enjoyed prior to Reagan. The Reagan "revolution" brought about the trickle down economic theories that destroyed that reality. When white people asked their Republican politicians why that is, they were told it's because black people are taking your jobs. This is what lead to the increase in racism, especially among white people without college degrees. I'm not going to name any names, but this has been quite evident even among some members of this site. Then, to feed this vicious downward spiral even further, these people seek information from sources like Fox "news" and right wing hate radio. Of course none of the solutions offered by those sources will ever lead to a return of that prior economic reality that benefited working people, and that's the idea.

Reagan seemed like a nice guy to middle class Christian white people, but he cared only about the wealthy, and his policies show that.

The traitor Robert E. Lee can lick my ass, and so can anyone who stormed the Capitol or sympathized with those who did.

My take away from the article is that they don't like brown poeple in Minnesota... especially the police.

But they have paid out some $60 million in compensation over the past 10 years, including $27 Million just to Floyd's Family.

We can't discount that the state is full of PowerStrokers, and thus everyone there pisses in everyones Cheerios... but PowerStroker says it's beautiful there.

Plus I could swear I have seen this houses exact floor plan layout in a house the sold here in Michigan...

Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful home, but I have absolutely no desire to keep up a home of that size! Could you imagine the utilities, upkeep, maintenance on that whopper? Hell the property taxes alone are probably more than I make in a good year!

Burnsville is 2 towns away from me and part of my normally traveled area. I even went to Burnsville High School. Sad day around here for sure.

Unlike Minneapolis PD, Burnsville cops have always seemed pretty nice as far as I can tell.

Well I'm white so MPD never had a problem with me, fair enough. Definitely more dangerous in some of the Northern parts of Minneapolis though. Burnsville is a suburb about a half hour South of Minneapolis.
