Hardly, my party believes in science. We would never put a vaccine skeptic in charge of HHS. Nor would we recommend horse deworming meds or bleach injections as a treatment for a virus. We would defer to medical professionals with actual degrees and expertise in the subject matter. Which by the way, is exactly what we did.

Other Doctors in the future need to look at Fauci and know the shame that will rightfully bestow them should they take his path in the future! It's VERY important!

Furthermore, China needs to be exposed and sent the bill for their Wuhan lab failure in allowing the virus to not only escape their lab -- but also spread around the world!

From what I can tell, there was a horrible study done in Tunisia that did to beagles exactly what you described. And a publication called PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases Journal mistakenly made the claim that NIAID was funding that research.

That publication has since issued a correction that NIAID was not involved in the aforementioned research, or the funding of it. However, a right wing conspiracy theory site called White Coat Waste Project continues to assert without any evidence that NIAID is involved in the beagle research, and their views are echoed by Donald Trump Jr, and other partisans.

Fauci didn't mandate masks or shut down anything, he merely informed the policy makers who did. And his advice represented the best practices given the data available at the time. His advise was based on science, not politics. Would you prefer a non scientific approach during the next pandemic?

Would you prefer making some Republican look good, or saving the most lives. As a pro-life guy, this must be a frustrating decision... I suppose such frustration might make someone want to scapegoat someone like Fauci, but it's not a good use of your efforts.

I'm absolutely against testing on dogs, and to the extent the US actually does testing on dogs, be it a government agency, or private industry, it should absolutely stop. The Tunisia tests you brought up are absolutely horrific, but Fauci wasn't involved with that. Headline USA should do a little more research and re-publish the correction made by the PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases Journal that admits their mistake in linking NIH to those atrocities.

The continuation of an already debunked story serves nobody that values truth. There are plenty of actual bad things going on, we don't need to latch on to false ones to push a narrative.

Its' not enough to call someone a liar and crook, I need actual examples that haven't been debunked.

And Rex, Fauci's recommendations were not about personal vanity, they were to try and reduce a very real public health emergency to the extent possible. The United States had the highest number of Covid deaths in the world at over 1.2 million. The only reason this so disproportionately affected the US, is because it became a political issue. People "did their own research" by visiting the same kinds of conspiracy websites that link Fauci to beagle torture, and absolutely believed everything they read there. The result being, once a vaccine became available, there was a statistically noticeable increase in mortality rates among the "do my own research" crowd.

Essentially, what happened in the US due to Covid19, was a perfect demonstration for why health guidance needs to NOT be a political issue, or even perceived as political. And our death statistics relative to the rest of the world show how badly we failed at that. This wasn't Fauci's failure, it was a failure of people who refused to listen to him. It cost us in lives, lots of lives, and if we don't learn from that mistake, we are destined to repeat it. I will never understand the apparent hatred some people have for evidence based policy, or the hatred they have for the non partisan professionals who spend their lifetimes pursuing it for the public good.

When Trump himself came down with a bad case of Covid, and there were real questions about what his outcome would be, he didn't "do his own research." Instead he got experimental monoclonal antibodies that likely saved his life. He turned to people like Fauci for treatment, because he knew they were the people who, like Fauci, also spent their lives in the pursuit of evidence based treatments. And, as a result, Trump lived. The president was provided a treatment from actual career professionals that nobody else yet had access to. And Trump lived, and he went on to win in 2024. And then Trump proceeded to fire the top FDA official that authorized the experimental monoclonal antibodies that ended up saving his life.

Eventually there won't be any qualified people left, just a bunch of unqualified sycophants "doing their own research." Just pray when that day comes you don't need any science based treatments for anything. Because all you'll get is a mouth full of horse de-worming meds, and a vein full of bleach... Actually, didn't you need some evidence based treatments for something recently? And didn't you seek it from actual experts? And didn't you live as a result? It would seem that deep down, when it really matters to save your life, you'll abandon your principles. Fauci isn't the hypocrite, you are.

If the contempt referral doesn't have a single Democratic vote in favor of it, DOJ will likely see that as an indication that a jury would also not convict. And since they have limited resources, they generally prioritize actual crimes with a higher chance of conviction, rather than playing into political theatre.
