The first amendment protects people from having their right to free speech suppressed by the government. It does not protect against the same action by private corporations... Which is exactly why when Trump overturned the net-neutrality rules imposed by Obama, he made this kind of thing much more likely to happen. There such a thing as section 230 for distributor amunity, it's clear that Twitter is going against the "code" by unfairly discriminating against people based on their political and religious beliefs. This is a big no-no and has nothing to do with net neutrality.

If they want to be a publisher rather than a distributor then they should switch to a subscription service and see how many people stick around.

It's a moot point since every 10 years or so someone better comes around and canabalizes the market. When they want to kill off a platform they sell it to Microsoft - ie Linkdin and soon to be TikTok.

After all, it's not Twitter that makes Twitter, it's the members who make Twitter.

Try following Jack Dorsey for more than a week, I can assure you it's a boring and unfulfilling waste of time.

IIRC, Twitter is not a private company. It's a publicly traded corporation.

Not true, I'm a capitalist. I would however like to see the government increase in size large enough to provide single payer universal healthcare like every industrialized nation. But other than that I'm ok with the ratio of private sector to government.

Perhaps it's because you no longer have moderator access and the time to edit has elapsed?

Try making a response and then editing it a few minutes after to see if perhaps it's just a time limit thing. Like I said, I have made a few edits here and there for spelling without issue.
