Officials in Minnesota believe that white supremacist agitators were inciting chaos at protests against police brutality and the killing of George Floyd.

The Minnesota state corrections department said on Sunday that white supremacists were thought to be attending demonstrations in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, and making chaos.

Theyre agitators, said Department of Corrections Commissioner Paul Schnell on those who have caused destruction during demonstrations.

Mr Schnell added that authorities were moving to break up demonstrations so that outside agitators could not create chaos.

Minnesota governor Tim Walz announced on Sunday that the states curfew would be extended into Monday morning to allow law enforcement to continue targeting those who meant to do harm.

Mr Walz added on Twitter that authorities had made several arrests whilst seizing weapons, narcotics, long guns, handguns, magazines and knives.

We have reason to believe that bad actors continue to infiltrate the rightful protests of George Floyds murder, which is why we are extending the curfew by one day, announced the governor overnight.

Minnesota corrections department commissioner John Harrington also announced later on Sunday that authorities had located several caches of flammable materials.

Mr Harringon added: The fact that weve seen so many of them in so many places now makes us believe that this is part of that pattern that shows that this in fact an organised activity and not some random act of rage.

It comes amid accusations that outside groups are behind the destruction witnessed in cities across the US, and in Minneapolis where Mr Floyd was killed in police custody last week.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, who represents the district where he was killed, pleaded with Minneapolis protesters on Saturday night to stay indoors so that agitators could be caught.

Looks like they are trying to find other means to communicate now that we are on to them. It really makes no difference what they want to call themselves. We can call the organization / movement a terrorist club for all I care. We have seen this with colored folks, eh I mean African American people, or I mean black people... oh wait, now it's People of Color. It's hard to keep up with it from year to year.

I was merely just using the race identifier for blacks as an example of how liberals like to play games with names.

When you call the police they will still ask you what race the person is, and often times people feel hesitant to even mention someone is black out of fear of looking racist. The 911 call of the Minnesota caller proves this as he was very hesitant to even say Floyd was black until pressed by the 911 operator.

People need to be judged by their own individual actions. Otherwise a few bad apples lighting fires and breaking windows cause ignorant people to assume that the tens of thousands of peaceful protesters are no different than the non peaceful ones. Our local news stations have actually embedded reporters in the crowds of peaceful protesters and documented them curtailing the bad apples whenever they encounter them.

Nor should we assume that all cops are racist murdering bastards simply because a small percentage of them actually are.

Why don't these people just flood the court house when the trial is happening and send letters to their congressmen?

I hear more officers are being charged and I have to think to myself that giving into the idea that people are now tried in the court of public opinion is far worse than whatever you're on about.
