As for you never being arrested (allegedly), all I can say is that after seeing what people in Minneapolis got away with during the riots it's clear to see they don't arrest people! And even when they do, most think they can just jive-talk their way out of it.

Back in my younger years, I was arrested plenty. The job I have now put me through a level II background check which had me a tad worried
But I guess it All goes away after 25 years.

Let's be clear, it's not that I've never done anything that a person would generally get arrested for. It's just that I wasn't caught in the act of doing it. And now I'm 40 and have mellowed quite a bit, so the chances of an arrest are pretty slim going forward.

For example, Carter's re-election loss was due in no small part to Reagan secretly conspiring with the Iranian government to keep American hostages in custody until after the election. The Iran scandal wasn't exactly common knowledge to anyone at the time regardless of age. It was investigated in the 90's and Bill Barr buried it. I don't see how my age at the time is relevant because treason is treason no matter how long it takes to be uncovered, or how many people are doing the covering.

Things like the right to a speedy trial, due process of law and the statutes of limitations are essential because everyone knows that as time goes on and power changes hands - so do the facts.

But I will entertain this notion that you have laid out above, at Obama's trial when it comes to pass that giving Iran over a billion in cash was not only wrong - it was illegal.

If Obama paying a legitimate claim, ordered by an international court that the US helped to establish, and paid said claim not with taxpayer dollars, but with a fund set up by Congress specifically for paying such claims is illegal as you suggest. Could you then cite the specific statute in US Code that you believe he violated in so doing?

Why would Obama choose to pay CASH!? Because the banks in Iran were not permitted to do business with American financial institutions?

Why would Iran be banned from the US banking system? Could it have been because Iran was an established state sponsor of terror?

When congress set up this "fund" did they say that breaking the law to return the money in untracable cash was okay?

I sure hope they got that in writing.
