What a scorcher it has been around the parts for the past few days! And it doesn't look like it's going to let up anytime soon! The next three days are forcast temps to be well into the 90's (F)!
Not a good time to have your HVAC system down for upgrades! LOL
I'm literally sweating with a fan blowing hot air on me as I type! I have to wear a bandana across my forehead when working in the garage to keep the sweat out of my eyes!
Anyone else got a heat-wave going where they live? I realize it's summer, and this is not any worse than years past... but in years past my HVAC was working! LOL

I was just reading somewhere that Germany just needs the "political okay" to keep their reactors running a few more years in the face of energy shortages there.
If it comes down to living or dying, I am sure they will keep them nuke plants churning out power.

Germany is one of those rare countries ( in recent times ) where the gov't is actually telling-the-truth about nukes, & the fact that it's killing everyone, plants & animals alike.
They may well "have" to keep these old-plants running for now, but they won't be building new ones...Unless Mr.Biden visits & threat-under-secrecy-talks determines that Westinghouse & other bankrupt US-of-A nuclear companies suddenly spring-to-life, or is that death ?

I have an old Westinghouse TV that I use for occasional Apple TV playback and music...
Should I be worried?
I wouldn't be too worried about the TV...
I would however be very worried that your gov't does nothing but lie to you constantly, to cover its own EVIL ass & workings, whilst defending & upholding an evil scientific empire that's destroying everyone & the planet.
We have big problems for sure !!!
But they all go away once people realize that we are not alone in the universe, we have ET friends wanting to help us evolve into what we were initially destined for.
Get out & meet our ET friend folks, as you can & will leave all the lies & bullshyte behind, & get on with a better way-of-life, knowing that YOU have the advantage on how to deal with life-issues, since you know what the truth is, & the fact that the US-of-A gov't does nothing but decieve you people.
I feel so sorry for the good people of the US-of-A.
May they wake-up, see the truth, & develop the courage & strength to change the worlds destiny for us all, via restructuring the electoral system to one-vote = equal value of 1 x person.
Then you will have genuine people wanting real change in power, rather than greedy old mofo war-mongers.

I was teasing about the TV... just trying to illustrate that Westinghouse has a lot of tentacles out there.
The Government has not been so bad latley... I always read about them bailing out other countries and giving aid to US business, so after they gave me a my company a hand up I really don't have much of a leg to stand on anymore when it comes to issues with the Government. That could change I'm sure, but I am hoping if I keep my payments up everything will be okay like it should be.
The United States is just that Rastus, a collection of 50 states... the one-vote = equal value of 1 x person will not work! Otherwise we would have California and New York deciding every election! It has to be fair for the entire country, and the only way to do that is with the current system... Each state has it's own kind of people, some states like to kill unborn babies - while some others do-not... Some states let you smoke and buy weed, while some others do not... So there are a LOT of different people in the USA and the one-vote setup would not work... if this was the United "State" of America, where the entire country was just a single state, then I'd say you were right about the one-vote method. But that's not how the country is set up, and we have different states that like to live different ways under different laws.
You should not feel sorry for the good people of the USA... we're doing okay considering the craziness going on round the world. The USA itself is just one big gear in the machine called Earth... we can only do so much.
I can assure you life here in the USA is much better than that of China, Russia or anywhere else in the world... I'm not putting other countries down either! Australia looks like a beautiful country too, and there are many others that are very nice as well, but it's just not for me... home will always be the USA for me, this I am pretty positive of. And FYI, most of your war-mongers are in dictatorships... Because we have to fight off these forces does not make us war-mongers. We here in the USA change out our dirty diapers regulary to keep the stench down... maybe some of these other communist countries should try it sometime.

Yes we beat Texas a few times. Heck, last few nights wouldn't go below 93 real temp at night!
Yes we have a nice Trane, think about a 4 ton. I put in a new Trane 3 ton at the old place. Old place had central air unit and guzzler elec furnace. AC unit went, $4600 to replace. Heat pump was $5200. Got $160 scrap metal from the old unit, sold the furnace $100. Heat pump dropped my winter elec bill by 40% easy.
Oh don't worry SELLC...You may have to send him some $$$ as he learns for himself, the cost-of-living lol !

Everyone "should" have the right-of-passage to travel freely, safely, & happily when they want to, especially when you're young, & have no ties...
I would guide / advise him to "upgrade" his qualification to "Heavy Industry status" or similar, with an international-recognition, so that he can legally work on trucks, & other heavy equipment. He'll earn 2-3 times more than cars, & the door will open for other industries for him too, such as mining, the sea, heavy-transport etc etc.
Time = Money...The more money someone is willing to pay him for his time, the better-off he'll be sooner.
I would guess that in Texas, there's a lot of oil-fields etc that need good people working for them. Doors will open for him since he's young, & hopefully willing to learn.

Rastus, had I told him it was a great idea he probably wouldn't have wanted to do it so bad...
His right of passage is even being financed thru me... I'm paying his way down there and that's it... he has to make it on his own after that! I'm picking up the tab because I want him to know that we all support him, and wish him the best of luck! Even if it does hurt us.
Maybe he will find some good business oppertunities for himself or the company? It's hard to say, except he obviously feels the need to get away...
I'm most positive it will be a learning experience for him and I am sure we have not heard the last from him... no doubt there will be another chapter and a new story to be told.

You know Rastus, I purchased the movie 9 to 5 with Dolly Parton on iTunes awhile back... it was on sale for $4.99!
Anyway, I got around to watching that movie for the first time since I was a kid, maybe five years old. You know, back then I never knew Dolly Parton was smoking pot with her friends in that movie... I thought she was just smoking cigarettes! And I also never realized she and her friends poisoned her boss! LOL, in fact my mind was blown at what little I knew about what was going on the last time I had watched it!
So I guess TV isn't really the place to learn about things... but it's nice anyway.
I guess our little piggies were frying in LA the past few days... 104F+ in some areas!
That's even hotter than it's been in Texas lately! Guess this explains why airfare is so cheap to California this time of year! The people selling cold drinks at Santa Monica pier must have been making a KILLING the past few days!
All that said, Rastus... Summer is officially over and the Labor Day weekend has come to an end... this means it's almost time for your Summer! How has your winter been down there, and are you looking forward to Summer?
