Hopefully you get a hot young nurse! LOL

Last time I went to the cockdoc he had a nurse that was just stunning. Different doc this time, maybe even hotter?

Well thank goodness for ONE thing to look forward to when I get old!

Welp... it was for sure a Monday!

Spent the day stripping up old 1950's tile, with a re-coat somewhere in the 1970's...

hresto1.jpg

You can tell I'm actually a mechanic... using my Snap-On air chisel with a sheet-metal attachment blade. Works great, and it saves me over $100 from having to rent the machine they offer for this kind of thing.

Trying to figure out if I'm going to use an epoxy coating for the floor, or some more modern stick downs... I don't care for linoleum. To do an epoxy it's going to be a lot of work in stripping, plus in about 10 years when it starts popping it will be a PITA to strip... I'm leaning towards some newer stick downs since the grade of the utility floor is such that there is a drain in the center, and the floor actually was poured to slant into this drain from all four courners... trying to use traditional stone tile, unless it's one inch by one inch would not work in this setting... and even using the smaller tiles on a mesh, that is just too much grout to use on a utility floor IMO. Also going to do some proper molded rubber trim instead of that old wood. The wood is nice, but not in a utility setting. I got my new Mop and Bucket and I plan on using it.

This setting is basiclly the heart of the house... it's so dated I dare not even show it, however when it's done I'll present a before and after. DTE and Consumers Energy both told me to get bent on my improvemt and maintenance ideas, pretty much the whole "Not in this economy"... so I'll have to use all existing stuff in terms of utilities, but I can always be ready when they do decide to update the lines, at no cost to me of course!

Um, you may want to have those tiles checked for asbestos before going any farther.

WTF!? Are you serious!?

What possible reason could they have for putting asbestos in a floor tile!?

Fuck! I just checked and it says flooring made between 1950-1980 are a high probability of having asbestos! WTF!

It even says the black tar they used to seal the floor could contain asbestos! I didn't breath in too much dust I don't think! But the floor is pretty much all done and disposed of except a small circle under my still connected and functioning water heater.

It's just CRAZY that they would use this stuff from the 1950's - thru the 1980's on things like FLOORING! What the fuck! What is the reason?

This is EXACTLY why I don't trust vaccines! I'm sure I took in some dust during the job, even though I did have a mask or covered my face with my shirt! This is fucking bullshit!

Thank you for being kind enough to point that out! It's the only tile in the whole house that isn't ceramic or wood. Fuck that shit! Glad it's gone! Fucking assholes back in the 50's - 80's!

Funny thing is, when I started the job I used some free masks given to me by the local Krogers grocery store back when they mandated masks... in the back of my mind I was thinking about that propoganda article that China was spreading at the start of COVID that said they were putting the virus in the masks! Then I thought about the article about the micro-plastics being found in the masks. None of that mattered because the masks were free, but now I'm thinking I should have used my painting respirator!

Sad part is, I started training as a mechanic back in 1980! I would sweep floors coated with brake dust, clean brake lathe areas and around the mid 1980's I was doing brakes and remember them still plastering all over the boxes that pad linings were made of asbestos. Then in the early 1990's I started smoking cigarettes and having sex - in addition to working on cars...

I think people working in our industry are exposed to LOTS of bad things from chemicals, dust, lead, asbestos and the inherant danger of getting under a two ton vehicle to repair it... I try and tell myself if this world wants to take me, it can do so at any time! I been smoking so long I have to wonder if anything could stick to my lungs as I usually cough up a few nice size lugies... but that doesn't change the facts.

Thinking that the top layer of tiles (white) were not asbestos because it was very thin... but that bottom layer was rather thick and old looking... I didn't even realize it had two layers until after I got a good portion stripped off. Thing is, it wasn't that dusty! The bottom layer still had a lot of it's wetness, probably because of some other toxic chemical they are no longer allowed to use. The whole thing really pisses me off...

I had another scare like this with the insulation in my attic... I have the pink stuff on top and the old-school white stuff on the bottom. Thankfully some of the vapor barrier on the white stuff was not damaged and I learned that it was actually cotton, rather than asbestos. I'd like to hope the same holds true in this instance, however it's only a 10X10 room... and again, it was the only the bottom layer that was suspect... and even then it was still moist and didn't give off a lot of dust... in fact most of the dust was sand that had accumulated over the years. Whenever I was removing it I had a full face shield and mask on since the chisel pretty much splintered the top tile, while just rolling back the bottom almost like tar.

Thanks for mentioning that though! I never had any idea they were putting asbestos in floor tiles! Wonder why they would do that? Was it just a cheap and abundant element they could use as stuffer? I realize it's fire resistance made it good for brakes and insulation for high heat applications, but what other reason would they have to use it in a floor tile I wonder?

At one time they put lead in all the gasoline! My grandmother and grandfather lived thru all of that which they said is bad for us and they all lived well into their 90's! In my grandmothers case she's still alive today... How could all of these things been so bad back then, from foods, chemicals, lead and all that, and yet people still live to nearly 100 years old?

I don't know why they put asbestos in, the lead in gasoline was to raise the octane for the higher compression ratios of the muscle car era. But lead fucks up catalytic converters so away that went.

Maybe asbestos is just a scam like covid? I'll check Fox News and get back to you. Nothing a little hydroxychloroquine and other horse deworming meds can't fix right?

I don't think asbestos is a scam, and I don't think COVID was a scam either... I think they screwed up on how they handled COVID in the best case, in the worst case I think it was used as a means to scare and take advantage of people. That is the sad part!

I think in the case of asbestos it's probably not good for you... at least the dust particulates when it's disturbed. The fiber works it's way into your lungs, so naturally someone who worked as a flooring installer / remover would have been exposed to MUCH-MUCH more! Same for people who dealt with pipes that were insulated with the stuff! Same for guys who worked in the repair industry as brake techs, or clutch techs... I think it's real and I think keeping the stuff out of every day supplies is a good idea, save for very specialized applications where nothing else will work. I have no idea why the hell they would put it in floor tiles... makes no sense whatsoever.

They also claim that the smell of a new car is dangerous! My new matress come with some sticker saying the plastic bag it come in, along with the matress is made with non chemical emiting supplies... so it's really anyones guess what is really bad...

All I know is I'd rather someone say to me, "Hey that shit might be dangerous" than to not say anything at all! So thank you for bringing that to my attention! You learn something new every day! Never know, I might get another house or the kids might get one that has this crap all thru the house! At least I'll know next time, and thankfully the room was only 10X10 with a huge window open while I was peeling it up! Thank goodness I was wearing protective eye covering and a mask most of the time too! If I kick the bucket of Mesothelioma in the next few years be sure to get a message to my family to call Jame Sokalaw(SP?) to chase my ambulance and get them some money! They may be entitled to compensation! lol

I know it's no laughing matter, but it's like I been trying to tell Rastus... a sense of humor goes a long way in todays crazy world.

R1. Fire retardant for asbestos...And the lead in gasoline was always in petrol, as it also aided valves & acted as both a cushion & lubricant for them. The valve-guides & seats on the older cast-iron heads were simply machined out of the cast, with no extra 's. The real reason for going unleaded was purely to increase the value of platinum for our "elite" who are also land / mine owners...And what does every cat have inside  ??? And the manufacture of unleaded fuel is more costly & dangerous to your health, plus cats don't function as they should until they reach around 400-deg-C, which is why they're placed so close to the ex-manifolds as possible.

R2. COrona VIrus Disease 2019 is a scam...What do you think you're being injected with, among other toxic substances ??? The test-devises are proven not to work & are inaccurate. The idea was to clear-out the costly elderly that had no home or family in the US-of-A & other places, that were costing too much, & taking up bed-space. I've learned for myself here at home, that all they need to do is spray / sprinkle the shyte that they lace in my apartment, to kill-off people, as it would cause stroke & heart-attack in the elderly, whilst also leaving no trace afterwards, as it evaporates away after 20-30 minutes from contact.

But believe what you want. Once again, I'm so lucky to see our interplanetary friends every-other-day, that I do know better, & not to trust the gov't. You will too one day, I'm sure of it ! In fact, it is inevitable !

I told you Rastus, the wife claims she's an interstellar alien on them nights she has a little too much to drink... so I live with one! And I can tell you, they CAN be mean at times!

With regards to the lead in gasoline, I was just going to mention it was used as lubricant (valve to seat) in addition to raising the octane.

I think COVID was and is a real virus, just like the the flu and others... I just think it was used as a plague of sorts, and I can only imagine how badly it was abused back in the early 1900's... but we got to see it first hand ourselves! Don't matter though, what we seen will not be what the history books will teach, if there are even books anymore that far in the future.

R1. Hmmm...Women come from Venus, & Men come from Mars...

R2. Yes indeed...I'm pretty sure you can still get leaded gasoline from your local small-airports for the Cesna's etc etc. And Italy still sells-it from the pump, as it's good fuel.

R3. I suggest it's real once you have it placed into your body via vaccination...

I am pro-choice when it comes to the Vax...

I have family that got the vax, from the J&J to the moderna, to the Pizer... and when I say family I mean immediate family that I live with, or next door to. I have also had exposure from kids going to high school, working at parts stores and just being kids out in the wild. I have had exposure to COVID positive people, and I have even been taking my mail directly out of the mail box and opening it since the beginning.

Business protocol has been different though, and while I could not wear a mask for long (even when working with particulate matter recently in the utility room) I still made contactless opperation with a wipe down my policy just incase someone else felt differently. Obviously the people who did not accept that method would walk up with no mask and stick their hand out for a hand shake... and I'd grab their hand and shake it, because what did it matter... I'd be getting in their vehicle soon anyway. There is only one time when I got spooked, and it's when my neighbors whole house got it and they wanted me to work on their vehicle while they were quarantined for 14 days... I waited 24 hours and then sent the kid to pick it up! LOL, this was back when they were the first people I personally knew that had it. I don't know if any of them were vaxed, but they all made it...

Racing gas is still leaded here, but good luck finding the stuff anymore! Used to be a few places within a few miles... not anymore. Hoping this new Valero they are building will have it again... they had it before their re-model so I'd assume they will have it again or it won't be much of an upgrade.

Yo Shawnee,

As mentioned, I can't prove anything except for swallowing the information given to us at school etc etc, & I completely agree that everything in most of the books ever made is designed to misinform, & lead us away from the truth...I have ET craft fly-over & flash-up every-other-night, & have done for at least 4-years now, & there's nothing in any news organization reporting it down here, so our "masters" like to keep us brainwashed...( At least some of us )...

When my work contracts we running regular, I'd have to take a few flights to get to Western Australia, & from Melbourne to Perth, was usually a 3-4 hour flight, depending on wind, traffic, & other stuff...The thing is, you'd leave Melbourne at say mid-day, 12:00, & arrive in Perth after the 3-4 hour flight, & it would be 13:00, Perth time...The same flight back would see you leave Perth at 12:00, & arrive after 3-4 hours at Melbourne at 19:00...So when traveling West, time appears to go slowly, & it's a very-long-day...When you travel East, it's a very short day, time flies away, & yet we have same actual flight-time...

Gravity is a force that's measured at 9.81 Newtons...This means that the earth sees the aeroplane breaking-free of this force, & needs fuel to do so, & have enough speed so that the air-speed can help keep-it flying, whilst reducing fuel consumption once at altitude. The example I posted above of my own flight experience show that actual flying-time remains the same, the difference is in time-zones that one flies through, that are based on Sun position relative to the city in question...

We also know that when we spin an object, say a wheel that has mud on it, the mud will spin-off due to what's called centrifugal force. With regards to our earth, one could describe that the force created due to its rotation, that stops us from flying off due to centrifugal force, is a force that's stronger in this instance than centrifugal force, & is known as centipetal force...Or in earths case we call it gravity...

Whoa !

That's what we got. What they wanted us to hear and learn. Rothchild said we don't want thinkers we want workers. flatearthdave.com  amazing stuff. Great photos, documentation and proof, not manufactured fairy tales.

NASA owns most of the helium plants and is the greatest user of helium on the planet. I posted a vid of some rockets and satellites that were balloons. Here's an interesting piece on that.

"balloon satellite is inflated with gas after it has been put into orbit. It is also occasionally referred to as a "satelloon", which is a trademarked name owned by Gilmore Schjeldahl's G.T. Schjeldahl Company."  Beacon, Echo, Explorer and more, sateloons.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balloon_satellite

Oh yeah, can't fly over Antartica cause it disturbs the penguins. Didn't know about the crashed aliens.

Remember now, Flat earth dave has 2 bitcoins for anyone can prove the earth is round, heliocentral model. Test inflation of "pageos"

Yo Shawnee,

I have no doubt that the ET's down in Antarctica have, & do use technologies to avert danger from themselves, where possible, hence the illusion (imo) of flat-eath, & land-masses beyond...Optical illusions, nothing more...

Watch the film in the UFO thread please, great stuff, & will bring you up-to-speed on what is going on in the "now"...Or even better, go for a holiday to James Gilliland's property at Washington State, & you'll discover many truths for real !!! Book-in a trip my friend !

OK, we will. Candy reminded me to watch. ET's are more local than understood.

Going back to Wa state for a visit next year finances pending. I was in Seattle last July. Sounds like a cool place to go to.

Good book, 16 emergency landings prove flat earth. It's online too. There was another very good, just happened. NY to Auckland diverted to Fiji. On a globe the route is much different than a flat earth, apparent. It compares the routes. Just so COMMON SENSE! You do know all Quantas pilots know we fly a flat non rotating earth, besides the fact all pilots are taught that, it's even in the RAF manual. If a Quanta pilot speaks about it though, they are fired next day.

It's simple. You mentioned some I said you didn't grasp. What is it, I'll break it down. If you have an inkling that fat is possible, that's good. Don't live the NASA lie.

That's a bitch'n tune Shawnee! I've never seen Cake live before... I like at the end where he tries to get everyone singing - "Is that the best you got? Hey this guy isn't even singing!"

There was a "little" show last night as I finished off what amounted to a pint of JWBL Scotch... most of it was addressed directly with the girls themselves by way of yelling in their DM/PM vacuum chambers.

It really got to the point I couldn't think of new and creative ways to complain about my kids moving out, and none of the 12 were remotely interested in having any of my new babies... lol, although I knew all along that Melissa was a breeder! She was always the catalist / star and the rest sort of spawned out of my following her... this was well before she got married and had kids BTW. Now that she has a kid, attempts to get her attention just feel like "home wrecking" and I'm not "that-guy". Rastus says he thinks most of them were lesbian anyway, so wasting any more time on the other 11 was more or less made moot... I'll miss a few of them, but honestly it was more or less a fantasy/fiction novel... One of them suggested in a round about way that I should "Work on my credit score" LOL, not sure what they meant by that

 score22oct.jpg

I can only imagine they must have been talking to someone else... seeings how I'm 54 points away from the highest you can have...

But that's just how they are... they think these things are reflective of reality, when clearly anyone reading in here knows they often times are not!

I don't know what else I can do but go Supernova and look within for a while longer. I'm sure lots of people give them $1,000's of dollars also!

It's too cold for them here...

LOL !!!

Rastus suggested through his own life experiences to be careful here, as yes, many women by the time they reach their mid-30's will want a child, & it's surprising how many will have a lesbian-phase that they go through...

These gal's in California are likely imo to get what they're searching for, but they've also got to be prepared to lose too, like all-of-us.

Here in Oz, they call it "Tropo", where a condition arises that sends you a little loopy, due to the constant & sustained warm weather all-year-round...eg, Townsville in QLD has a temperature variation of only 5-deg-C, where you'll enjoy 27-32-deg-C all year 'round, but the "Wet season" is a little awkward at best, with near-on 100% humidity for 4-5 months...But I don't think California gets to those extremes, it's just too much good weather perhaps...

LOL !!!

And that is exactly what you said back quite some time ago, almost verbatim. You have a very good memory Rastus!

I guess in many ways it was more or less a parting shot across the bow... I can't think of any other reason I'd have mentioned it...

I'm not sure why people have prolonged having kids up into their mid 30's and sometimes early 40's... in decades past people usually got started at 18 or at the latest their mid twenties. If you have kids in your 40's it means you'll almost be 60 when they are graduating school! A lot of women now days hit menopause in their early 40's anyway... anymore there is a lot of IVF / scientific births, it might come to pass the old ways of making babies will be considered vile and disgusting... like that movie "Demolition Man" where they called such things unauthorized and illegal fluid transfers LOL! Where is the fun in that!?

I guess I had a good run... sticking around them any longer would just breed negativity and we already got pleanty of that.

Not quite sure how anyone can get loopy from too much good weather... that must be them "rich people problems" and I'd know nothing about that! LOL, I can tell you first hand by the end of winter in bad weather I'm feeling pretty loopy... cabin fever even!

LOL !

I guess the idea of "too-much-good-weather" means no change...Like if you party 24 / 7 / 365, the party isn't a party anymore, it just turns into a way-of-life with nothing to look forward to.

Balance is the key imo, & sure, I moved onto a cooler environment here in northern Tas, but, we do get 4-seasons a year ( mostly still ), & you get to appreciate all of them, though I do wish summer was a little longer & warmer, but you can't have it all.

At least the roads here are awesome for motorcycling, so even the day-to-day hum-drum of doing shopping or whatever is blessed with opportunity to carve-up some mountain terrain lol !

That's a good analogy Rastus... and I agree, balance in life is key.

Good to hear the roads are well kept down there, from what you discribe there aren't the elemets of freezing water to tear up your roads... I know exactly what you are talking about too! In Southern States the roads are pretty nice, like what you speak of... but in Northern States like mine, the roads get beat up by the elements - mostly the expansion and contraction of water entering cracks and crevices of our roads and freezing at night, thawing in the sun during the day and then re-frezing at night... I'm sure the salt doesn't help matters either, if anything it allows the slush to embed itself further... it's a vicious cycle, sort of like my attraction to certain women who clearly were not interested, but enjoyed the attention.

Getting back on that topic, I'd imagine it's hard living in LA fighting for every scrap of fame day in and day out! I was never into the fame, I just wanted the women themselves! LOL, but I could never make them happy because that's not my thing... I like my annonimity, it's like a warm blanket! I only wish to be famous with the people I want to be... perhaps they felt the same? Maybe they felt taking a bite of my apple was home-wrecking? I don't know why, I think it's clear my home has been wrecked and fractured by my kids all moving out! LOL, what? I didn't make it look fun enough? LOL

I'll still talk and think about them... I tried to get a new list of girls together for my entertainment on Instagram but these kids now days are crazy! It's really like nothing I have ever seen! I genuinely worry that human interaction has forever been changed! Kids are growing up WAY FASTER and everything that is anything on social media is sexualized in some way. The age that these girls are picking up on that is downright scary! I don't even have a TikTok because the age group there is such that my kids are older than a majority of the TikTok members! And a lot of these kids now days, take for example the ones in the UK that were going into supermarkets and pouring out gallons of milk to protest their cause... Just because YOU are vegan, does not mean everyone else should have to be! Same with the girls who thru tomato sause on Van Gogh's wildflowers painting! Just outragous! I have to keep reminding myself that I was a kid once too!

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-10-15/animal-rebellion-protesters-pour-milk-in-shops-across-uk-including-harrods

In many ways, I see what Shawnee is telling me about getting older and think to myself, fuck it! Let it all hang out while it still works! This is where balance comes in!

It would have been nice to know a few of the 12 on a more personal level... but every good story will end with the hunter becoming the hunted... this could be far from over, we might even end up having to open Pandora's Box! Let's hope we don't have to do that!

I agree with you that these gal's in California are likely to get what they're searching for... and I hope they do! Nothing better than a "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it" story coming true. I have ALWAYS operated on the principal that you don't spend a lot of time on women who don't immediatly click with you. That is why I am so surprised I spent so much time on them! But we have to take into consideration COVID and what that did for almost two years... people really had no choice but to live in digital online... that was the only game in town as everything was closed, or required so much protection that people were more or less faceless outside of the home under mask mandates. So I got sucked in a little! LOL, I regret NOTHING! But I sure as hell am not going to prop up women who don't even acknowledge I exist. Hopefully they all find what they're searching for and it's all they expected.

I've recently taken the stock market back up...

sm22.jpg

I'm not a long investor by any means, I have turned and burned quite a few stocks and crypto holdings over the past few years... well, quite a few for someone like me anyway... someone who never owned a stock or crypto asset in his life prior to 2021...

Let's hope I have better luck in the market than I do with trying to make friends on the internet! LOL

That's nothing for them to bitch, mine is 760. Flash some green. large yen note sticking out your pants pocket in Japan will get you any lady you want.

Thanks, Cake is good. I listen to alot down in my shop. Since we are talking sun, here's another Sun.

Classic... It's been FOREVER since I have heard Smash Mouth!

Been taking my lumps around the house... everything that could go wrong has pretty much gone wrong. I just have to suck it up and move forward... Got a reliable heat source for the house just in case this draws out a little longer... it's really my only choice as the only other option is to go over budget and that's not fucking happening!

It's going to be my first Halloween without the kids living in the house... sure, as they got older they went and did their own thing but it was still fun. Not sure what to expect this year, but the woman has all but given up on decorating for Halloween now and hasn't even bought a pumpkin... can't say that I blame her, it would just conjure up memories... but I think that's a good thing! Because the kids sure ain't cutle little Mogwai anymore... they are full grown Gremlins!

Obviouslty, with the work currently in process at the house - we won't be throwing any party... nor will we be going out on the town to celebrate Downtown Detroit like years past pre-COVID.

Maybe we're just getting old? Yeah... there is something in the way.

Sold the lot of my stocks yesterday and this morning.... Made $100 for what amounts to a $2600 investment for less than 10 days!

Think I am going to take a break for awhile until after the election as things could really get screwy in the next two weeks! Sent the money back to my account, this way I have $1,000 per day training wheels if things get real cheap and I have to transfer money back in.

For now, I am going to see how much I can make on the market with my $100 profits...

For me, I just can't see being long in any stock or crypto... unless it was MY company!

Is this wrong? Is there a right and a wrong way to play the market? Can't really say I'm a day trader because I am not buying and selling on the same day... but if you're in the market to make money, one would thing any scenario where you put in money, and take out your principal plus a profit - then you're winning... but for others, with more money than they know what to do with, I suppose they would be going long... I will admit this sort of existance feels like the scum that feeds off the pond scum, but with the dynamics in play over the next two weeks, all I can gut to lose is my winnings thus far! Because that is what the stock market really is, it's educated gambling with all the risks of real gambling.

I keep running back though, only because they pay up.

If you don't mind me asking, how old were you when these "Cobain time / Smash Mouth" music fest were just popping up in Seattle?

Feels like just yesterday to me, but these things were like 30+ years ago... back when I was just a young'n

I'd have thought you made it thru a lot of generational music!

Welp... I sold 11,000+ DOGE the other day at .062...

Yesterday they shot up to .080! That was $200 that I lost in profit for selling what amounts to 24 hours early!

Guess that is just the way the market works! But in my eyes, it was better to settle for only $100 in profit, than to have waited too long and LOST $200 of principal money... time will tell over the next few weeks.

Guess I spoke and sold too soon!

DOGE just crested .10 cents and is getting close to .11 cents!

So now my post-sale losses due to increased value are close to $600!

And I thought I was doing good at $100 profit on the market! It's like that little cocksucker was just waiting for me to sell! LOL

But that's okay... I didn't pay $44 BILLION for a fucking tool shed!

Yes, many gens of music. I watched everyone new on Ed Sullivan, first appearances stones, turtles, kinks, beatles, they were great shows.

It was sometime early 90's. If one went to a big park in Seattle, no knowing what may pop up. Say go to the Bumbershoot festival for the day and a couple bands pop up and play. I went to a great Lolapalooza in Silverdale Wa, bout 95 or so. Had a massage (legal) business and a couple others an I went there, we were vendors so we got in and didn't have to bust the fence and get chased with mounted cops on horses. Had a awning and 3 of the onsite massage chairs, 10-15 min. At first not so busy, later had a line bigger than starbucks line!!! Next to us on the left they sold ecxtasy, other side sold pipes. There were 20 bands, 2 stages, 2 mosh. Everyone who was someone in alternative music was there. Korn walked by few feet away with his groupies and were handing out corn nuts, all I ate for 6 hrs I couldn't leave my chair to go eat was so busy.  Better than when I saw J Giles lead guitar and P Frampton duel off at Colt park. J's lead just tossed his guitar when Peter started speeding up, then Frampton went into fukin warp speed! One of those moments can't forget even after decades.

Oh yeah, listen to Alice/Rooster bout every night, in a couple my mixes.

That is pretty cool Shawnee! I try to keep up with the new music they put out now days too, but it's a challenge as the music industry is really saturated with the internet now days.

It's good and bad... Good that anyone can now share their music online, bad because now every free radio station is being replaced by music streamers like Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, and several others... and yes, even when you pay they still hit you with some more advertisements.

Maybe I am just getting old but it seems like there are not as many concerts anymore either... most of your bands now days don't even know how to play a guitar.

At night I sit down in my shop next to the mill and lathe, ponder, maybe ahh enhancer? and let the music stream. Try to get variety.

Yeah, doesn't look the same. More female guitarists coming out but not getting big. Prolly cause Ed Sullivan is not around to start their careers!

Welp... rolling with the blows it appears my "lean-to" is not going to be complete in time for the turning of the weather, which is already on-going... think cold nights and wet leaves...

So something had to give and in this case it was a pair of "doors" (no pun intended) and a small two foot section of exterior wall in order to secure the Mustang inside and take the lean-to off the priority list.

mustangwinter.jpg

It's a good thing too because that painted 1960's paneling has been driving me nuts! That stuff was so old it's probably seen Ed Sullivan! LOL

This should alow me to clear a pretty major item off my immediate to do list, which was to build the lean-to... I could still build it in the dead of winter if I found a bunch of time on my hands, but that does not look like it's going to be the case this year.

Perhaps lumber and other supplies will cost less by then, I don't know... all I know is I'll be able to get this Mustang's convertible top and interior all finished up this winter without having it in the way, or getting messed up out in the elements.

Once finished both the Corvette and the Mustang will be in deep storage for the winter months, and thus on storage insurance which saves me over $100 a month! WOOT-WOOT!

I'll have more photos later, but I will be glad to have these cars stored. I used my gold Mercedes 560 to pull / push a few cars today... it's a great tow truck and runs awsome! Fires on the very first crank after sitting for over a month!

Welp, when I first took my measurments it was for the Corvette, which is much slimmer than the fat and longer Mustang... but I wanted to keep the Corvette in play this winter should I have to drive it out to California or Texas at all this winter... that being said, it was the Mustang that had to come in... plus I want to do some things to the Mustang this winter when I have a few hours here and there... the convertible top being high on the list.

Anyway, I had to cut a little over two feet out of the fucking wall! LOL, it does not matter much because eventually that lean-to will share that wall and thus be an "interior wall"... and next year I will install a two car garage door in the wall that faces the front of the vehicle... so everything will work out just fine, the only difference is I don't have to spend any money until next year to get the same results as I have now for pretty much FREE.

stang22b.jpg

It was actaully pretty easy to cut out a two foot section once I had the exterior doors off... It was just enough room too!

Really had to work it with the jack, and I am sore as fuck right now... but I am VERY happy with the results!

stang22a.jpg

stang22.jpg

Keep in mind the area you are looking at used to be my old "work" office, it's where I stored all our inventory, parts for sale on eBay and all the supplies to pack and ship things... along with many other things... in other words it was floor to ceiling shit! I have since been able to re-organize, condense and more or less compartmentalize this area into one of the kids old bedrooms... It's nice too, because even though everything is stacked and sorted better than ever before, all I have to do is close that door and it's out of sight!

This room will be the very last to get renovated, since nothing down there requires immediate attention outside of the cosmetics... I still have MUCH-MUCH more important things to handle, but this at least gets the Mustang out of the elements, lowers my insurance and buys me some time on that lean-to and garage door! You have to keep in mind that when I bought this place it had this nasty old school drop ceilings with them painted fiberglass ceiling tiles! I have no idea how long the paneling has been in there but I assume it was in there since the addition was built because the panneling sits behind the drop ceiling frame... someone had since painted over the paneling (a big no-no in my eyes) long ago... You have to keep in mind all new duct work for the HVAC is in the process of being run as well, replacing all the old flexable 6" garbage along with the 1950's 3" stuff... the new ceilings in this room and the laundry room are going to be tongue and groove wood panels...

Believe it or not, it actually looks much better with the car in there than the floor to ceiling boxes and parts that used to be in there. I'll have to cover it when working in that room, but there is not much more planned for that room until next year.

And it never fails... shortly after buying what amounts to a $300 trailer hitch for the Lincoln (with reciver and wire kit), buddy of mine calls and said he want's to friend sale me his truck that needs a little work.

Say hello to Goldilock's new replacement! That's right folks, we no longer have to use our luxury sedan as a shop-grounds mule! Our Mercedes Farmall has been retired! LOL

SELLCS10.jpg

Got a super price on it... just have to fix a brake light and power steering hose and she's ready to rock... already have her plated and been driving her here and there... it's a small leak, but I just got the new hose yesterday.

It would have been nice to have this puppy over the warmer weather, as it's only 2WD but I don't do much deep snow driving and I can always keep the gas tank full and add a little weight to the back... it's more or less the company run-about.

Yo,

How can you post-up your new truck without showing us what lives under the bonnet ??? ( I'm personally hoping to see a nice-little 7.0-ltr V-8 in there )...

A 2-WD is much, much better than a 4-WD...More power, better fuel consumption, & less likely to have gearbox / differential repairs needed.

And what's Goldilox's fate now ??? Trash or treasure ???...

Looks good, well done !

White cars are Police friendly vehicles, as they seem to be invisible...( Probably since most white cars are ex-gov't or current gov't vehicles, at least here in Oz ;) )!

I didn't post any photos of the engine because it's just a 4.3 V6 Vortec... which is actually loads of power for this little truck! The 4.3 has always been rumored to be a 350 (or 5.7 liter) with two cylinders cut off... it's no slouch, but not a V8... after all this is the "work" truck! But I'll share a little car erotica for you at the end of this post.

2WD is not bad, but not here in the great white North... this car originally came from North Carolina which means it's pretty much rust free by Northern standards! Goldilocks is going to get done some day, I don't plan on parting with her... I did trick Brandee into driving it the other day though, and she SWORE she would never drive it again... I did this by telling her she could either use Goldilocks to push our other parts Mercedes, OR we could push it by hand... naturally she chose to use Goldilocks, thus breaking her promise to "Never drive that car again"... having the last word is real important around here! LOL

So, speaking of my part's Mercedes (the one with the shit Macco paint job by the PO)... here is a little Mercedes erotica for you... I have given serious though to seeing if this S-10 frame would slide under my parts Mercedes, allowing a "SAFE" convertible Mercedes that could eaisly handle a V8 engine... since the frame is small enough, it may be possible to pull it off without even being able to notice... this is all just fantasy of course, I have no solid plans of doing this! But I was looking over the frame and underside of the car recently and it dawned on me, could this be a REAL solition to the convertible Mercedes W126 sedan? There is a reason Mercedes never made one from the factory, because when they went to Uni-Body they just didn't have the strength to have that much open top! The early Mercedes with full frames had the big classic convertibles... I've cut enough of these sedans up to KNOW FOR A FACT that regardless how much bracing you do, it needs a frame to trust it with multiple people down the highway... The only thing more rare than an AMG is a convertible W126 Sedan... wouldn't you agree?

Just food for thought... I haven't busted out the measuring tape or anything... YET!

V-6's are good solid work-horses.

Do NOT waste money hotting-it-up.

I'd let go of Goldilox, & honor your promise of building a decent "Super-schnell" 560-SEC, as promised way-back-when...You have the hard-ware, just put it all together...Your kids have their own wheels now, so no excuses for needing rear-door-access to rear seats.

I dunno Rastus... the SEC is a nice car, don't get me wrong! But I have the Mustang and the Corvette now... there is no need for an older SEC as the technology is such that from a performance standpoint, it would be better and cheaper just to get a newer coupe Mercedes!

Goldilocks isn't costing me any money, well except for $4 a month for insurance and $40 every 10 years for plates... and honestly parts and W126 vehicles are no longer a dime a dozen like they were for awhile there during the cash for clunkers era...

I like the look of the Sedan SEL on the front better than that of the SEC coupe (unless it's Euro of course) but even still I like the Sedan SEL euro (G2) look better than the coupe SEC euro front end. They both the SEL and SEC have very similar rear ends.

The SEC front end always did remind me of the front of a Chrysler back in the 1980's... and I know it was Chrysler that was trying to copy Mercedes, and not the other way around but still... I just can't get that out of my head, even though the SEC looks and performs nothing like a Chrysler of the 80's...

How many convertible SEL's you think there are world-wide? A few dozen? If that?

The Mustang is the hot-rod now Rastus... Corvette is the cross country tour bus, without the room. lol

The SEC that I was going to hot-rod was packed in the ass pretty hard and was missing a lot of it's parts by the time I got it, and it's not like an SEL rear end was going to look right on it...

Can't "let-go" of Goldilox Rastus... nobody would take it!

It's got memories, and when I roll in a Mercedes once more I want it to mean something...

I have got two 560 SEL Sedans, one runs but needs an interior and paint... the other is up for consideration but is not in the way or costing me ANY money. I don't see any point in selling either of them myself... I have an entire garage full of parts, engines, transmissions, gear boxes, axles, you name it! I have large storage containers with at least four or five complete wire harnesses that I could probably get a few hundred dollars in copper alone for if I scrapped them... but why? I could get more than that for just one to the right buyer! 10 more years from now I bet the value will increase even more on parts, and the cars as a whole. I wouldn't be building goldilocks to re-sell... I'd build it to keep and pass down, or who knows... I could end up parting and scrapping them both one day.

Have you seen the complete SHIT they are selling on eBay for BIG BUCKS lately?

I never should have sold that Black 420SEL with the AMG bits on it... or at least I should have stripped them off before selling.
