R1. I know that politics is a sad joke regretfully, & anything 1/2 decent an Australian PM might do, is removed-from-office, if it doesn't agree with US-of-A policy or UK policy. That's what the 'ol Rockefeller AUKUS & 5-eyes does for a country...So you could say we're under your control, since you have the "bomb", & have been known to use it.

R2. I couldn't tell you either, but if I know a little about US-of-A politics, it's because it's so corrupt & full of hand-selected Corporate Puppets. It's like I was saying in the other thread -- this politics is a global business now days!

And while I myself don't know who the President of Australia is off the top of my head without looking -- I'm sure once someone said it that I'd have heard/read it before.

But Rastus does seem to have very strong feelings on American politics, but lets not discount he is also actively engaged with a cult like consortium of international UFO chasers.  Clearly the guy has intergalactic asperations. 

For me, a lowly old earthling -- it would seem that ones "measure of greatness" varies, which is to say it's an opinion. It's going to change wildly depending on who you ask. That is the beauty of politics and court I suppose. Changing someones perspective on an opinion seems to just boil down to figuring out how to make someone perceive and become sympathetic to a plight. 

I think the real measure of greatness is being able to live with yourself at the end of the day. But it would seem sometimes life would put you in a possition to where you just feel like ripping someones head off at the end of the day... we all have them days.

But if we were talking about a measure of greatness looking thru the lens of, "Who in history has had more mf'ers swinging from his nuts going into a Presidential election", I'd have to say that would be Trump. 

Under Biden and his team the company has done quite well -- and I'd have to agree with you that in terms of seat of the pants, it sure feels like he's the party of the working man. I fear for his age, and the fact that I don't have a whole lot of confidence in his VP -- I'm also pretty sure that his deteriorating mental state, be it an act, real, or a mixture of both is his get out of jail free card if it all goes to shit. Obviously if he's ever found un-fit to lead then forget ever charging him with anything because he would also be un-fit for trial. 

Trump and his team did write the book on pandemic aid -- and also had a kick-ass retail economy that was booming with low inflation. So I wouldn't count him out just because the Democrats were able to tweek some of his pandemic programs to help out the working folks...

I am worried about Biden's age and what appears to be his declining mental health... followed sharply with his VP pick. It's never any good when a VP slides into the POTUS spot -- regardless if it's Democrat or Republican! I prefer the POTUS be the original elected POTUS and not their VP. I don't think Harris could ever muster a winning POTUS bid on her own. But that's just my opinion.

As a person, when he's not carrying ridiculous Democrat water -- I kind of like Joe Biden! 

I don't care for his VP at all... so that right there would a serious issue even if we didn't take into account his health.

Trump seems to be doing pretty good cognitively for a guy with the pressure of the entire Justice System on his back! He's taken some serious blows and does not give up!

Biden also does not give up -- but he enjoys some preferential treatment as sitting POTUS and as a seasoned career politician... one of which is the fact most Republicans don't care for his VP either -- and would much rather see him serve out his tenure and roll the dice at election time than to see Harris slide in there if they did prove he was mentally unfit. The onset of dementia isn't a one size fit's all disease, some people never suffer from it -- while others can develop it at a very young age (relatively speaking).

But you're right... Trump is not as fit as he used to be -- but some people can carry extra weight. I'm sure if he wanted to be skinny he could afford Ozempic or something similar -- have you ever considered he likes having a few extra pounds?

This does not shock me because the food at times can almost be a natural diarrhetic, depending on what you get and at what hour.

 

I usually have some McDonalds once every week or two... sometimes I'll go a few months but only because I'm just not in the mood. It's actually getting pretty expensive!

Too often people try claiming bread is sugar because that is what it breaks down into after being digested -- but that's not really fair IMHO.

Furthermore, McDonalds biggest flex is it's consistency... where a Big Mac will taste and look the same in Michigan as it does in Texas -- so long as quality and prep standards are followed. Freshness can very from town to town, resturant to resturant.

I understand whatever you put in must also come out -- that fact is not in dispute here... it's HOW it comes out: ie: violent diarrhea or a nice soft serve swirl. ;)

 

I'd agree... Fast Food gives you the shits!

I've been trying to buy from better resturants lately and mixing and matching by cooking some meals at home... but the cost for food is such that it's almost better to order in from a good resturant -- enough to where it last a few days and then the higher cost is offset... but that is just because it's not just Brandee and I who are eating... when it comes to feeding a family, it's expensive any way you slice it -- but by far much cheaper to feed a family buy cooking at home... but even still, you're going to have massive $200-$300 weekly grocer costs with a family of 4 or more... and I'm taking into consideration ALL the things you buy at the grocery store from food, drink, toiletries and necessary household items or supplies/cleaners etc. Often times many outlets ONLY focus on food -- omitting other important living expenses. 

For awhile there during COVID -- fast food was a staple, but it was still pretty cheap... now it's about $20+ per person unless you're willing to eat what amounts to rations aka beans, bread and rice.
