SCOTUS ruled today that tariffs were not on the level... and we got the Chicago mayor (fatso) already clamoring for reparation checks...
But who should pay? If you ask me it should be any company that successfully gets a refund, since they have already baked their increased cost into the items they sold!
Giving a company a tariff refund would be like paying them TWICE!
If you ask me, tariffs were needed in a majority of the cases where they were applied... especially with regards to China!
Still, it's shocking to see how many conservative Justices sided with liberals!
The question with regards to "refunds" becomes this -- either tariffs raised cost or they didn't! Neither side can have it both ways!

Actually the funds went into the US Treasury, and American consumers paid higher prices to pad the Treasury balance. It's essentially a backdoor sales tax. It will be up to Congress to decide whether or not to refund the American people for their overpayments from Treasury funds.
