A lot of the other sites offer advertising in diffrent ways. I wonder if advetising actually makes a site look bigger? As a forum owner there are advantages in hosting cost with advertising however I dont have a problem with the cost, it just seems they pump your name thru the search engines when you allow the advetisers to make the site tacky in the forum of flashing banners and other such embeded adverts. We we first opened we had advertising by default and the first ad I got was the fricking FART button... That crap had to go! But I wonder if its for the best of everyone that I look into it.
Linking a domain name to the forum was a good start. Lets see what that does for us.
It has become so comon place that it almost is accepted. What does everyone else think?
