2005 BMW 525i - Code 9AFF – Safety battery terminal firing circuit resistance too high

I wanted to address the 9AFF code that is often found in the SF2 Satelline Vehicle Center Air bag Module.

Now first of all you need to have a pretty damn good scanner to even access this module, as it is one of 7 that is jacked in with the CAN. But if you were able to get this code, as it will not appear in the normal ODB-II engine codes you should know that this paticular code can save you a bunch of grief and usually indicates that a fuse within the battery cable has either become loose or broke.

This condition will result in multiple codes in many different modules, including the engine management module. You could have 17 different codes, but when you check out their related sensors everything will be fine. What happens here is this bad connection causes mayham in the computer system at odd times which throws codes for sensors that are okay.

Here is a video, it's a little corney but if Baum has it's hands in it, then it's all good for me. Hince, no reason for me to re-invent the wheel and make another video.
