Thanks Rastus! That's some good information to know!
I am not shocked that Jennifer Granholm has her hands in this! She was the Governor of Michigan for a long while... she wasn't great for the State either! Just raised taxes on EVERYTHING! She also got smoking banned everywhere and increased the price of tobacco five fold! Now she lives in California and is our nations energy secretary... she is about as qualified as Mayor Pete is to be transportation secretary... remember the big Southwest disaster on Christmas? And all these train derailments? How about the time the docks were backed up? Are they still backed up? Who the fuck knows!
I told you this big push to electric you keep backing is only going to force more Nuke plants to open up! These green energies aren't reliable enough right now, and that's not even factoring in the MASSIVE COSTS involved with them. If you want to see the injection point for one of the most nasty things you have seen go on Google maps and bring up Benton Harbor... follow the river where it dumps into lake Michigan... Zoom out and look as brown waste just pumps into lake Michigan right near Silver Beach... Talk about things that make you go hmmmmm...

LOL !!!!!!
The nuke-industry will do what it can to survive, like deceiving people to warrant its needs, as always. It's a huge & very secretive industry, & I need not go into the lies & treachery it has laid-down on us over the decades, yet alone all the toxic poisons.
The way it gets away with murder is because of investors & bankers. As a stock-holder, you entrust someone ( the banks ) to offer a good-return for investment, & they place-it where they see the largest return...And when things go pear-shaped, the corrupted Corporate selected politicians step-in & refinance the industry with your tax dollars.
If the law is valid still, Chris Busby & his team will win in the courts, & it will all shut-down via the law, via the new scientific evidence he presents.
There are thresholds within the law (Internationally btw ) that allow for adjustments in nuclear activity should evidence deem it unsafe, due to public exposure & deaths.
Remember that the current laws state, that it is "Justifiable" to have nuclear activity when 1/10,000 people may die form its being. The real numbers presented & verified by scientific research is that the number of people dying / dead from its activity is really 1/100.
All you folks Stateside have to do respectfully, is simply "WAKE-UP", & demand its demise, with the new evidence presented.
Just go to any hospital & ask what the number of cancer patients is for your own personal verification.
Here's the latest review of these small reactors claiming to save the world & its energy need issue...

I got a treat for you guys tonight! I recently got back from a 48 hour vacation to Hollywood / Burbank / Beverly Hills that I want to share with you!
On this trip the company reviewed a 2022 Ford Shelby Mustang GT-H (Hertz edition)... that article will appear in the Mustang section of the forum but may not be ready until this weekend when I pull together some more tech details... This was done because Hertz just released the GT-500-H with over 900 HP for rental! Which you just know we will rent and review after driving the GT-H thru the hills of Hollywood for 48 hours.
Just in case anyone was wondering what had happened to me the past few days... My phone sucks for posting photos here, due to file type and conversion factors that are out of my hands... (more on that in another article LOL)
You know, back in the days of the original Shelby Mustangs, Hertz rented them too. And often they were returned with a bone stock 302 instead of the 428 they left with.
This of course lead to Hertz not renting Shelby's anymore, at least until now.
That's actually pretty funny PowerStroker! Ha-Ha, But you know I'm an old pushrod 5.0 guy!
I forget who it was, but someone was also telling me about Hertz Renting out the Shelby's back in the day and them coming back with smaller engines... IIRC it might have been an article I read.
What I can tell you for damn sure is once you go out of town everyone and their brother all of a sudden needs repair work... LOL - never fails, whenever I go out of town this is what it looks like when I return to my driveway,

Yes Sir, I'm not complaining! I'm very thankful! I'm just pondering the irony is all.
Gawd... I so badly want to publish the "real" version of the trip... the behind the scenes, off the clock pleasure parts.
I been trying to write it in the Webcrawlers thread but it keeps devolving into a pathetic self-pity ugliness that I have to keep telling myself to give it more time...
Feel like dusting the Miami thread off and making it public for awhile so people know I'm serious about my crazy!
Question is, does anyone really want to know anyway?

Speaking for myself, I haven't got a clue about what you're talking about, or could care less, since it's written-up like it's self-serving-egoism / fantasy...
But I bet the end result might be something like this...
There's a lot of Bill Clinton inside you Stellar !!!
"Only an alert & knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial & military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods & goals, so that security & liberty may prosper together". Dwight D.Eisenhower.
I think you're mistaken Rastus... This is not self serving egotism... And it sure as hell isn't fantasy because the photos are REAL! These things REALLY happened! The photos are proof!
I'm not Bill Clinton... It's jus that there is a lot of Monica Lewenski in these women!
I think perhaps... well, maybe I'm just not applying myself fully... what do you think?
And getting past all that, even though I have been applying myself as fully as one can, there is a bigger picture! One that is just not here today and gone tomorrow!
Some of these plans of mine are just not "overnight" line items! There is real blood, sweat and tears that go into them! Getting them done under budget is the name of the game, and the game I will play!
All that being said, I am about to make some moves! Summer is coming on strong here in Michigan, were now in May! That means better weather, and more time to catch up for next winter!
Thinking about taking the Corvette out of storage today, turning off the Lincoln and then putting the kid in the S10! No point in keeping insurance on a car that is damaged and not being driven! He might as well get used to truck life!
Stellar said & asked... _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I'm probably going to avoid politics myself in this thread... but you do you! Pretty sure once the election starts to heat up, every thread will be dripping with political slant... shits already like a wet blanket on the MSM Social / Media...
All I know is the weather is getting GREAT! I just caught up on my work and I'm going to have to start an agressive campaign to get this damn passengers side valve cover for big blue...
Trying to keep our numbers up at the company (alone) and perform these renovations (some unplanned) along with the upgrages to give us more bays has been quite the battle. I suppose I could have more done than I do, but clearly I'm of the mindset that if you want something done right you have to do it yourself... and that's where we are because unlike hand-outs, I gotta pay all this shit back! LOL... but seriously, I'm considering having a two car garage door installed soon... so that will be TWO BAYS right there, with the potential for two more right next to it (lean-to) and then perhaps two more when I rebuild the garage here... for sure a four post so I can do exhaust and alignments! If I could score an old Bend Pack or Ben Pearson hydrolic pipe bender I could REALLY cover my bases! Already got the cut off saw and the welder ready to go! But that's a lot of coin, ON TOP of the big bucks to rebuild the garage. But I can for sure get two more bays on the cheap right now! We can see how the wind blows later on the other stuff!
Everything being said, it's REALLY great weather right now! Not too hot, and not too cold! Probably just hang out around here this summer, maybe a beach trip or two on our birthdays and anniversaries... let's hope the market holds out! I worry about the brinksmanship on the Government spending, McCarthy is clearly one of them guys who's not affraid of losing 15 times... And he's pretty old-school, constitution thumper! Oh shit, now I've done it! I've gone there with politics even after saying I wouldn't!

Never seems to be a dull moment around here, which unfortunatly for me is just the way I like it... Being a Master Auto Mechanic sees my jobs going from gravy brakes one day, to fuel pumps and full on mini-restorations on occasion... It would be much easier to just "specialize" is easy repairs like brakes and oil changes than to service the full spectrum... but I'm not set up for that anyway -- although I think there would be some good money in specialty shops, it's just that every time you send something away to another shop you run the real risk of losing that customer... and that in a nutshell is why I am simpily unable to turn away work.
But this weekend, I decided to enjoy the Detroit Grand Prix!
GM Renaissance Center
Outside GM renaissance center - Silverado truck for each Indy driver with their name on it.
Bridge over race track to access Hart Plaza
Hart Plaza on the Detroit River overlooking Canada
Canada as seen thru a barrier for the corded off section of the Grand Prix (aka ticket-holder section) taken on the Free Admission Friday
If you recall, the last time I went to the Detroit Grand Prix it was when they held it on Belle Isle, which as it's name suggest -- is a small island on the Detroit River... This time however, just as it was some 32 years ago, the race would be held in the streets of Detroit!
I can remember back in the 1980's it was really such a big deal and the Detroit Grand Prix was the buzz of the town with Pepsi giving away glasses and everyone talking about it... No doubt everyone has been dealing with a punishing COVID the past few years, but to see Detroit pull itself together for the Grand Prix was really impressive! Perhaps one of the BEST parts about the Grand Prix running thru the streets of Detroit is ACCESS! Before it was basically walled off by a fast moving river... you either paid to get a pass or you just didn't get to see anything! Now however, everyone can get in a peek of the action, and a few minutes watching these Indy Car and TransAm class cars fly by is all you need to get the hook in! That is all it took for me anyway! Every since that first race I can't help but to go back and hear them buzz by! Even when you are parking blocks away the buzz these cars give off is sounds like a massive bee-hive in the distance! It's quite incredible sounding from the parking garage at the Detroit Hollywood Casino in Greektown!
Tomorrow is the actual race... I am planning to attend.
I'd like to explore a few other areas of the Detroit Grand Prix because while ACCESS is nice, it's still hard to get into some of the areas -- or even find them for that matter. Even when it was all contained to the island, there were some areas that just seemed in-accessable for regular folks like myself. But that's totally cool because I have been having a blast! The photos above were actually taken on Wednesday when I went to case out the place to see how the lay of the land would be... shockingly they didn't even have a lot set up yet, as they pretty much just get things ready and execute the transformation a day/night before. For an event this large they really pulled a rabbit out of the hat! It would seem they do a really good job setting up, even if a few of the Indy car drivers are complaining about the track in some areas being bumpy... but a few bumps are to be expected as they iron out this transformation back to the streets of Detroit. As mentioned above I also went on Free Friday and took Brandee along with me... we logged almost 11,000 steps that day! We really made the rounds and had such a good time we had to rest today! I got pretty sunburnt as it was an absolute beautiful day every time I went! The ride down to Detroit in the Corvette with the top down was really great, both on the way there and back!
I have had a lot of fun so far, and I'd almost feel guilty if I didn't return tomorrow and buy a ticket for the race... this kind of production cannot be cheap!
Brandee seemed to have a good time as well, but no word on if she is going tomorrow... Guess we will find out soon!
So this is why I haven't been around much, it's harder for me to post photos on the webforum because I have to convert and resize them... it's just one of them things.
Hope everyone else has been doing alright in here!
I wore myself out going twice and got so sunburnt on Free Friday that I couldn't even make it Saturday or Sunday! LOL
But I watched the race... a few times I wanted to go down there but I was beat! We really out did ourselves the last time, but it was a lot of fun to run loose in the streets of Downtown Detroit while the cars were racing by!
Pretty sure I could have made it on Sunday, but Brandee was not on board and had seen the level of craziness already brewing on Friday, and honestly -- I was still a little pooped as well! We really did pound the pavement on free Friday!
Getting the itch to get the Mustang out, and no... I haven't put the new door in yet, and I'm not complaining because business has been brisk!
The weather has been so nice lately that I have been able to get a lot of work cranked thru... and the best part is I'm slowly getting things back together!
Sorry about the size of the photos above, I was curious if the site would host such large images but apparently it does handle them well.
"Only an alert & knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial & military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods & goals, so that security & liberty may prosper together". Dwight D.Eisenhower.
Honestly... these Hollywood distractions have only existed here because of my disire to draw my attention away from local ones... I hope that the regulars, with V8 Cafe access realize this...
I could really give a fuck that a bunch of rich people in Hollywood think they needs to be paid more, athough we have seen the Teamsters come thru with $170,000 per year contracts for UPS Drivers in the past few days... Word on the street is that the UAW is trying to get Ford and GM factory workers $150 per hour too! I've never been one to hate on the working class, so I'm happy that in addition to $170,000 a year -- that UPS drivers will now have AC installed in their trucks! That's cool and all, but honestly NOBODY works harder than the Mechanic who will no doubt be installing all these AC units into the UPS trucks! Makes you wonder if perhaps we're going to see a bunch of bankruptcies -- like in the case of Yellow Trucking... maybe not today, but no doubt UPS will have to raise prices to cover these expenses... meanwhile FedEx isn't getting any love... and thus should be able to easily undercut their workers in order to be cheaper than UPS by A LOT!
Makes you wonder...
Meanwhile, I'm just trying to get by on my own... No big union or anything fancy... Just a few loans and a desire to pay them back! Not everyone can live off their parents money like Rastus!

It's just amazing the things they build now days to kill people...
This "directed energy" weapon is not nothing new, and it's not like a laser either... they claim some of our Embassy workers were targeted with directed energy attacks in Cuba quite some time ago.
Yes, well said Stellar & posted...
The Russians have this weapon too, & have used it to terminate people who were getting a little too outspoken...Apparently with one incident, the police left the victims body on-site for a number of hours, & knew not to get too near the body for fear of after-effects from its use.
The weapon was also used in the Iraq wars, namely the 2nd one where all their air-force planes ( US-of-A made & sold btw ) simply fell-out-of-the-sky...It was also reported that the US-of-A man-made UFO's made a few appearances too, & helped decimated the country within a week...
That's likely why Mr.Greer was so keen to get the news out & forewarn about the "Fake ET Invasion" with his last film "The Cosmic Hoax"...And this remains a possibility too.
What we got instead was the war in the Ukraine & fear mongering over China...The Military Corporate Industrial Complex doesn't want to stage this " fake ET Invasion" event until all the "manufactured enemies" are all used-up...
That said, as Shawnee indicated ( & James Gilliland ), the monetary system has been changed quietly, so perhaps the worst of the wars are behind us from now on...
Welp, as it turns out I'll be going to see the kid in Texas next month... got a super deal on round trip tickets way in advance for both Brandee and I.
I have to admit, I didn't imagine my big vacation destination would be the Houston and Texas A&M college town -- but whatever! It will be good to see the kid and how he's getting on.
Anyone know any fun things to do in the Houston / College Station area? I've already been to the Alamo and the San Antonio River Walk -- and I'm not looking to spend my entire vacation driving across Texas as I'm told the state is HUGE and just down the street usually means a couple hours drive! Maybe I'll finally pick me up a good deal on a Stetson and a pair of cowboy boots.

LOL! That's funny you mention that... the kid sent me this photo
Guess he's setting the bar kind of high for the 'ole man! LOL -- Texas is so bad ass they get their name on a bottle of Blue label!
I'll keep that in mind with the ketsup! Does that apply to A1 and stuff like that? Or can you get it smothered in mushrooms, oscar style (crab) and a nice bearnaise sauce? Keep in mind, I'm all about quality, not quantity! LOL They plop an old 96'er in front of me I'm prolly gonna turn up my nose! LOL
A 1 is OK but don't push it too far. I loved "Big Texan" Ordered a large beer, gave me a quart. Picked my own steak and can watch it cooked. They got a 6# steak challenge, got to eat it all, tater, fat, everything and it's free. Guy did it while I was there. The whole staff came out, circled his table singing, "the biggest pig in the world. I'm telling you, if you are in TX, eat there.
Thanks for the advice Shawnee! I'll look for a Big Texan while I'm down there!
But wait, there is more! I been trying to get a cool rental like a Mercedes or another Shelby GT-H from Hertz from their offices at IAH Houston, but apparently they only rent the high end cars in Dallas! No GT-H, no nothing that's any good! Pretty much your regular 4 banger Mustangs rented at the same cost as you could get the Shelby GT-H in Dallas! I tried it every way to get something nice, but it's just not going to happen unless I fly into Dallas! Kind of pisses me off! I even considered renting a car for a day and driving to Dallas just to pick up a nice car, but something about driving 6 or 7 hours round trip to another airport on the other side of the state just to get a premium rental didn't sit right with me.
So I did something and you're not going to believe it... For $280 Hertz would rent me a Tesla Model 3 for the entire week with unlimited miles! Figuring that was the CHEAPEST vehicle you could rent, and it getting down to the wire -- I reserved it! If only because when I get there I'll need SOMETHING, even if it is to drive me somewhere else to get a better rental. I just can't figure out why Houston does not have any good premium rentals and is known for oil -- but is renting Tesla's dirt cheap? While Dallas (more liberal) has all the bad ass toys?
Turns out this vacation is also going to be part business as I review a Tesla Model 3 for an entire WEEK! In TEXAS of all places! LOL, I guess I am about to learn first hand what it's like to rely on an electric car!
Still a little upset, I wrote to Hertz asking how the hell they could only rent Teslas for cheap in oil rich Houston and they sent me a photo of what my rental would look like
I'm just kidding, they didn't send me that photo -- nor did I send them any letter about renting electric cars on the cheap in Houston... but still, I will be sure to ask Hertz if they have any premium cars that I can upgrade to when I arrive... UNLESS of course, my Tesla Model 3 rental has horns like the one above! If not, at least I'll have something to drive to Galveston Island. Anyone been to Galveston Island? Since the Gulf of Mexico is pretty much the only part of Texas that has a "Sea View" -- I figured we would stay there for a day or two until the kid got off work for the holiday weekend.
Think only 1 big Texan, on the panhandle. Buddy has had his Tesla 3 4-5 years now he loves it. Took a ride in it. He drove from West Wa to OH, then here and home. No complaints about finding charges. Wonder when the battery pac goes though.
Been on the gulf coast but bit Galv. Hot! Even the water is hot.
The panhandle is like super-super far from where I'll be at up there in Northern Texas... don't think my electric rental would be worth trying to take that far... heck I bet it's probably a days drive (including re-charging time) from where we are staying. I tried to keep everything an hour or two away to prevent issues with having to spend hours on the road re-charging.
I also found out on Twitter that the vehicle shown above is actually a Model X, and not the Model 3 that we have reserved... but I still hope they have a Model 3 with bull horns.
Hoping that the last of the 100+ degree weather is gone by the time we arrive -- but even still they have a nice pool. Don't know that I would wade out any further than knee deep in the Gulf... I'd imagine they have sharks and all sorts of nasty stinger bearing sea creatures there too... rattlesnakes -- you name it... Hope the pool water isn't hot! I been reading that parts of southern Florida in the Key's has had hot tub temperature waters lately! That would really suck to jump in the water and have it be as hot as the air! Only 48 hours until liftoff.

Too bad, great steak and a fun place. I was there 40 years or more ago, it was about 500 round tables and 4 chairs each, none matching, all old saloon type stuff. Steak pit in the middle of the floor near the back.
3 with bullhorns be cool, get a hat too. 100 not bad, we just went thru a month of upper 100's
Shawnee, maybe my math is out here, but 500 tables with 4 seats each is like -- 2,000 people! That's got to be a massive place that does killer business! If I ever take the Corvette out West again, and I'm driving home thru the Texas panhandle -- I'll pull this thread up and check that out!
My most recent trip to Texas is spread out in three threads, I did a review of a 2023 Tesla Model 3 for a week and if you're interested -- the thread is in the Tesla section and rounds out the other parts of the trip.
While I didn't make it to the "pan-handle" this time, down there on Galveston Island we happened across this really fancy resort hotel called "The San Luis Resort" that had a resturant called the "Steakhouse".
And guess what? They had the fancy filet mignon with the Oscar!
I was really just blown away! Haven't had a steak close to that good since I got married in Las Vegas -- and maybe a few times in the good ole' days of the Fishbones Resturant in Detroit!
It was simply AMAZING! And reasonably priced for what I considered a near five star place!
If you looked at the menu you would see that most EVERYTHING was under $125.00 and that was for the FULL BOAT Surf and Turf!
But wouldn't you know it... They had a "Special" -- which to people in the great white North (Michigan) that would imply it was a "good deal"... as in the $2.99 (pre-2020) and now $5.99 greasy spoon "special"...
So before you know it, the kid orders the "Tomahawk for two SPECIAL"...
No mention of price, BTW... I knew something was up when they brought it out before everyone elses, and four waiters and the cook surrounded Rex Brandon... of course I didn't think much more of it...
All I know is everything was just so perfect!
The lamb chops were very resonably priced and Brandee said they were just lovely!
Even the local caught "Gulf Coast King Shrimp" were pretty intense!
We were all just having a REALLY good time!
And then the bill came...
Apparently the "Special" in Texas means that it's REALLY "Special"... not specially priced! LOL
You live and you learn... LOL, but it was the most amazing night I can remember in just a REALLY long time!
Some Cartel dudes wife got turnt up and started with some drama in the resutrant, the cops showed up so he bought everyone in that section of the resturant a bottle of Kyrstle Champagne... while I didn't drink any (I was already drinking Scotch) -- everyone else seemed to enjoy it -- along with the drama... as our waiter put it, "It was a pretty intense night, for a Sunday anyway" LOL!
So anyway, couldn't expense that whopper... had to put it on my personal charge... already made two payments -- only have two more to go!
But, I mean... it's really by chance that we ended up there because I really didn't know what was going to happen when I caught up with the kids after they got off work!
Brandee and I knew we were in trouble when we landed at IAH - aka GW Bush Houston Intercontinental airport -
Important to note that when we arrived at IAH both Brandee and I were hungry for breakfast! Being an AMEX Platinum card holder, we thought we were getting breakfast at the IAH when we landed... come to find out due to some obscure rule change during COVID (at least at IAH airport) -- only outgoing flights from IAH can enjoy the Lounge! So we were turned away! While that REALLY pissed me off at the time, it saved us $700 as AMEX would waive the entire years membership fee! $700 to skip an airport breakfast? Nooooooooo problem!
Prior to the fancy San Luis we stayed at the Hilton Hotel while we waited out the kids to finish off their work week (more about this stay in the Tesla thread) -- but we sort of knew perhaps we landed on the more expensive part of the Island, and this was totally by chance since outside of being really young, neither of us had ever visited Texas before...
Our first hotel at the Hilton Galveston Island Resort was nothing short of AMAZING
Those lights you see off in the ocean in the photo above are actually oil rig platforms and oil tanker ships! We were for sure in OIL Country!
Brandee is such a ham.
Of course, the best part was catching up with Rex Brandon and the local Plymouth crew -- who had now officially been living in Texas for one whole year!
The entire trip was just a "take it as it comes" trip -- we really did not know what to expect. We were just more or less going to see the kids!
All I know, it's one for history books over here! Had NO IDEA that Galveston Island was so Boujee!
This first two days it was just Brandee and I on what I can only discribe as a Paradise Island! But it wouldn't be long before we hooked up with the Plymouth Crew.
Amazingly enough, this feast for SIX people at Texas Roadhouse (In Texas of all places LOL) cost us LESS than $200 with tip! Of course this photo above was taken in College Station, at a local Texas Roadhouse -- and not a Resort Island.
Still -- it's one of the most amazing trips on the books! And the best part was we just took it as it came because we had no idea what it would be like at College Station Texas, let alone the Ritzy Galveston Island!
All in all, it was just really good to see Rex Brandon and the rest of the Plymouth crew!
In fact, it was so crazy it took me over a month to process it all!
Welp... I have put Pandora and her demons back in the box! It hasn't been easy -- but perhaps my Hollywood fascination has run its course?
Anyway, I'll miss the dreams of grandeur in the Webcrawlers thread... but it's time to take a step back, there is nothing you can do to make people like you.
FYI - This album was released 1-20-1983

Thanks Rastus, but what's with the photos? What exactly you trying to say?
Trump would be good friends with GW Bush had it not been for the fact Jeb wasn't about to get in the mud with Trump in 2016, and mud got thrown. At least that's how I understand it.

1. The United States Corporation is about profit.
2. Create a problem and already have a solution to that problem.
3. Build, Destroy, Rebuild. Repeat.
4. Chaos is good for business and power acquisition.
5. Every single War and Conflict from 1871 to 2024 was centred around power acquisition, profit, and elite mafias around the globe, not just the US Corporation.

It's just sort of a free-for-all thread for me to post up things I'm doing at the moment.
At first it was an alternate to the Webcrawlers thread whereas I was trying to break away from them -- but clearly it didn't work.
So in other words, it's an off topic thread where I try and steer clear of politics, and just focus on good times... even though Rastus wishes to muck it up from time to time with geo-political ideas. I don't know why he does that, but -- whatever. LOL
